Franco-Prussian War Releases Pop Up From Perry Miniatures
February 7, 2022 by brennon
The Franco-Prussian War gets some new support from the folks at Perry Miniatures. Six new sets of 28mm miniatures have popped up for those playing as the French and the Prussians during this Historical period.
French Chasseurs d'Afrique Carrying Swords // Perry Miniatures
For the French, we have a new set of Chasseurs d'Afrique which come in three different flavours. They can all be used to make a distinct-looking regiment packed with character. There are options for the command element alongside Chasseurs d'Afrique who are charging and with their swords drawn and at the ready.

As you might have guessed by their name, these soldiers were recruited from those French citizens that made up the colonies in Africa. All four of the different regiments that had been formed by the period of the Franco-Prussian War took part in the fighting. Only a small amount of cavalry stayed behind in Algeria.
Send The Jagers Out!
As well as the French, we also have a couple of new releases for those playing as the Prussians. Stepping away from horses, the Jagers are going to be skirmishing around and waiting to ambush someone!

Again, some great miniatures that are all packed with character. I love the range of facial expressions that you get when looking through a collection by the Perry Twins. Of course, all of their kit and such has been meticulously researched as you might imagine!
Prussian Jagers Advancing // Perry Miniatures
There are command, advancing and skirmishing options across these three kits. You could make another dynamic regiment, either individually based or slotted together into a larger display base.

Some great options for both sides of this conflict and a nice opportunity to dive in and bulk out your armies. The French are somewhat lagging behind in terms of releases compared to the Prussians but I'm sure we'll see plenty more in the coming months!
What do you make of these new 28mm metal miniatures?
