MOMminiaturas Working On New 28mm Sci-Fi Troopers
January 20, 2022 by brennon
MOMminiaturas has been showing off some of their upcoming Sci-Fi range! They have dabbled in this before but this looks to be focusing on a range of miniatures for their own game.
Vulcans Teaser // MOMminiaturas
The current teasers show off some seriously deadly-looking individuals. They have something of the Killzone to them in their look, particularly with those helmets. I also like the big, bulky armour which feels archaic whilst also getting across that Sci-Fi edge.
Vulcans Early Mock-Up // MOMminiaturas
There is no word on when exactly these miniatures are going to pop up. BUT, if you keep an eye on MOMminiaturas over on Facebook then you'll no doubt get rewarded with some extra snippets of information on when and where you'll be able to snap these up.
I would imagine we'll see this range grow over the next few months and then arrive on Kickstarter as a new campaign later in the year. I am also eager to see what these Vulcans are going to end up fighting if it's part of MOMminiaturas' own game.
What do you think?

Ah those seem are very Jin-roh inspired.
Precisely what I thought. Mix this with Maschinen Krieger figures and you’re set at the 28mm scale.
Maybe if you’re into vinyl toys Teddy Troopers.
Same thought…. very Jin-Roh
Chunky
PANZER COPS YES!!!
Space SAS.?
I love that it looks like the MOM team took a look at Corvus Belli’s Veteran Kazaks & Chasseurs, both units that take HEAVY inspiration from Jin-Roh, and decided “nah, those are too subtle” 😀
The armor designer knows of the concepts ‘ergonomics’ and ‘freedom of movement’ and wants nothing to do with them.
I’d order some of these right now, if they were ready! ???
Just really sad they don’t seem to do STLs.
I want this army so bad
