Escape The Horrors Of Darkness In The Night Cage
January 19, 2022 by fcostin
I haven't immersed myself in a horror board game in a while. I really enjoy the immersion of a horror game, collaborating in clue-hunting and survival in the dark. There's a title I have been keeping an eye on recently, which places players in a cooperative experience, journeying through pitch black by dim candlelight. Their biggest hope is to escape the monsters that dwell in the darkness when the flicker goes out.
The Night Cage // The Night Cage
The Night Cage is set to be released this month, as 1-5 players become confined in a fearsome labyrinth as lost souls in the hunt for their key to escape! As players lay tiles to guide themselves across the maze, they will be aided with a flickering candle for a slight bit of vision ahead. However, this candle has a limited life span meaning players could face the ferocious Wax Eaters ready to pounce as darkness strikes for advantage.
Wax Eaters // The Night Cage
Fortunately for players, these monsters do not seem to like the light very much - as fragile as the candle may be! Players must find their keys and escape as a group to win or be lost to darkness, and the Wax Eaters!
Gameplay Preview // The Night Cage
The game takes 40-60 minutes to play through, depending on how many lost souls are committed to an eternity of darkness. You can pre-order The Night Cage at your FLGS or purchase online if you're here in the UK, or snag yourself a copy in the US now via the Smirk & Dagger website.

Ooh its the vashta nerana this could be a fab challenging game.
stay in the light don’t go in the shadows.
Feels like we been larping this type of game since covid. Gaming should be a be a break from reality, so no thanks.
