Are you ready to take Zombicide to a different level? Marvel Zombies: A Zombicide Game is now up on Kickstarter. With a short campaign over the span of 15 days, the game has already blown past £2 million ready to bring the Marvel: Zombies franchise onto the tabletop with a familiar twist.
Marvel Zombies: A Zombicide Game Official Trailer // CMON
Guillotine Games, CMON and Spin Master Games have now begun to work on the undead standalone title, bringing the Marvel Zombies comics onto the tabletop expanding the Zombicide universe.
Undead Pledge // Marvel Zombies: A Zombicide Game
There are several different products players can get their hands on as part of the Kickstarter. Our beloved heroes have taken a turn for the worst, as many of the Marvel Universe are lurking the streets undead. Instead of saving those in the city from peril, the heroes will be the perilous beings causing harm to the masses. This is the Undead pledge, worth £96 and provides a 'Zombie Mode' for players to munch their way through.
Resistance Pledge // Marvel Zombies: A Zombicide Game
If you are keen on more content to eat through, players can take to a different mode of play in the Resistance Pledge for £177. Taking the role of the Mighty X-Men, players will be playing out as the last standing heroes. Gearing up to challenge the likes of Zombie Captain America and Zombie Wolverine: the heroes will need to keep the city in order. Whether it be rescuing citizens, using their abilities for control and simply fighting to survive. Containing the Undead Core Box, Hero Core Box and all rewards earned.
Galactus Pledge // Marvel Zombies: A Zombicide Game
The final pledge available as part of the campaign is the Galactus Pledge. This "miniature" caught my eye - considering that it is bigger than the core box! Players will gain access to the Galactus expansion, with a mammoth mini taking over the table. Interchangeable as undead or alive - players must attempt to stop Galactus from gobbling up the planet. By hopefully munching him first! Plus Silver Surfer glides his way into the game. This pledge contains all of the above pledges, plus Galactus expansion and rewards for the price of roughly £302.
Talking about those rewards, there have been quite a few additional miniatures up as part of Stretch Goals and Dailies. This includes Luke Cage, Beast, Iron Man, Wasp and many of their undead counterparts.
The campaign is huge, with a lot to take in and quite a hefty price tag to go along with it. So if you are a fan of the Marel Zombies arc and want to witness the onslaught yourself, be sure to check out the Kickstarter.
What do you think of Marvel Zombies coming to the tabletop via Zombicide?

HULK Munch.
Not fond of the zombicide games, but I do like marvel and it was almost tempting for the plastics…
Ridiculous price for the galactus figure though… $180
it’s about two GW giants … and he’s bigger than both of them combined 😉
Also factor in that it is a licensed product.
Having said that I think that like the Ctulluh beast from their ‘Death may Die’ kickstarter it has soo little actual value as a game expansion that it can only be seen as a big display piece for fans of the character.
It kind of sucks that you can’t play this expansion without the ginormous figure attached.
With much relief I can say: hard pass. I’ve got zombicide 2nd edition and I was extremely happily surprised with the gameplay. Not the most cerebral game out there (heh, BRAAAAAIIINSSS) :D, but very good fun. I’m also a huge Marvel nerd, but already have plenty of crisis protocol. But the offer just isn’t worth it. I’d be in it for the heroes and it doesn’t seem to be nearly enough to be worth it to me, seeing as I’d already have most of them and they and mcp models aren’t compatible. Not even for the independent rules I plan… Read more »
This is already a huge success for CMON. Current pledge total has overtaken what the last three versions (Invader, 2nd Ed and Undead or Alive) made and they’re barely two days in. Green Horde holds the record at just over five million, I can see this blasting past that.
Personally I like the models more than MCP, but there is nowhere near the variety. I do think there is value to the KS, but I also think the price for the whole bundle is rather prohibitive for some people, including myself. A friend of mine is backing it, so I am happy to sit down and play it at least.
The whole thing is quite comical really. Quantity has a quality of its own. The theme does nothing for me, but even if it did the sheer quantity of stuff and end price is just way out of proportion. I doubt the majority will actually play through everything and its their right, but what a waste of resources.
Given the pledges so far clearly I am wrong. I assuming a significant number of backers also back similar titles and it baffles me how they sort everything.
No thanks. The price is, frankly, insane. I’ll stick to Crisis Protocol with its greater variety of characters in a considerably less depressing setting.

I must admit that I could have been tempted had their not been such a ridiculous amount of kickstarter exclusives, which effectively exist to justify the 130$ price tag for the core game.
I do like the concept of bystanders instead of treasure as a source of new gadgets/features for your heroes, because it does feel thematic.
I was tempted with this (the core and XMEN) but, not at that price plus shipping!
