Fury Of The Deep & Pirate Ogors For Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
January 10, 2022 by brennon
Pre-orders are going to be going live this weekend for a new boxed set for Games Workshop's Warhammer Age Of Sigmar. Fury Of The Deep will see the Fyreslayers going up against the Idoneth Deepkin in the Realm Of Aqshy.

This new set, as we saw last week, comes with two new character miniatures for both factions. The Auric Flamekeeper and Akhelian Thrallmaster offer up some neat new leader options for your armies of the Mortal Realms.
Auric Flamekeeper & Akhelian Thrallmaster // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
The Auric Flamekeeper is able to draw strength from his fallen allies in order to bolster those that are still living. The Akhelian Thrallmaster spurs on and pushes the Namarti to greater feats. They both look like suitably deadly combatants.
I still really like the sculpting for the Idoneth Deepkin miniature. He looks fearsome and focused. The Auric Flamekeeper is also neat but I still don't like the closed face mask. It still feels like it pinches his face together.
You also get a whole host of additional miniatures (as you can see above) alongside booklets to get you started with some smaller games of Warhammer Age Of Sigmar. It might work as a good starting point for both armies.
New Warhammer Underworlds Warband
As well as massive armies, we also have warbands for Warhammer Underworlds too. Here we have Blackpowder's Buccaneers who add some piratical and nautical awesomeness to the Ogors of Age Of Sigmar.

This set contains Blackpowder the Ogor with his stolen Kharadron gun and hefty sword. He is then flanked by his Gnoblar companions and two nifty and deadly-looking animals. I wouldn't want to face down a monkey with a knife, let alone the towering Ogor.
There is also a new Rivals Deck pack which comes with additional cards for playing this skirmish game.
Illusory Might Rivals Decks // Warhammer Underworlds
This gives you a set of ready-to-play decks for playing Underworlds. Illusory Mighty gives comes with thirty-two brand new cards which can be bolted on to whichever warband you fancy. It takes advantage of the twisting magics and illusions of Harrowdeep.
Are you going to be checking out these new releases this weekend?

Snotlings! Grots! Gobbos!
I think I need that knife monkey. Well worth the £20(?) pricetag
He is rather fun – and yeah, around £20 for a warband set which ain’t bad.
The rest of the set is pretty cool too but the little fella is the star of the show.
From those new Underworlds releases are most interesting to me.
Fabulous looking figures an the flamekeeper looks brilliant.
Fury of the Deep – sure if that’s exactly what you want the box makes sense, otherwise it comes across as just uninspired.
Underworlds it just not a game that has captured me, Blackpowder’s Buccaneers is just so out there and different it is neat. Far more interesting.
