We Get A Peek At New Aeldari Guardians For Warhammer 40K

Games Workshop has dropped a new preview today for the updated plastic Guardians that you're going to be able to pick up for use in Warhammer 40,000 when making an Aeldari Craftworlds army.

The new plastic set offers up brand new poses alongside choices for weapons and more. They have been designed to be more dynamic than the existing Guardians box which has been in service for many, many years. I still remember picking them up when I started the hobby twenty-plus years ago!

The new Guardians set will come with options for making Guardian Defenders (armed with Shuriken Catapults) alongside Storm Guardians who get stuck in with the enemy in close combat. You'll also note that they have access to more special weapons and the Serpent’s Scale Platform.
The Serpent's Scale Platform trades out offensive capabilities for a way to deflect incoming fire. So, you can slot that in alongside the Storm Guardians to give them some cover or use them alongside Defenders when holding objectives.
Next Monday promises another preview of something juicy so it will be fun to see what's up next.
What do you make of the new Guardians kit?

Hells, I STILL have a couple of bagged sets of Guardian sprues with the old metal Dire Avenger Exarch upgrade arms for use in building Storm Guardians that I brought at 40k GT 20 years ago….
Some days ago i found an unopened box with 16 Eldar Guardians from the time before the support weapon was included.
This is a nice and needed update though.
Wow, if the leaked Road map for GW is accurate (as I think it has been so far), Berzerkers are also due an update this year. That’ll be the most moaned about kits in the range finally dealt with.
Well this is nice start.
new elder right who’s spiked my drink???
Sorry but they look almost exactly the same to me. The poses may be a little more dynamic but I struggle to see any differences or improvements is the sculpts or design. I guess they have a new weapon platform option though.
They look pretty sweet; I like the athletic look of them, very dynamic but without being over the top. Ideally for my tastes the shuriken pistols would be smaller so they looked more like pistols rather than half way to a rifle but that’s only a minor thing.
The only potential problem for me is what the sprues are like, do they have daft cuts or are they more old school GW with separate arms, heads, bodies etc…I do hope so.
