Joan of Arc Paint Log
The Devil, the base and the trident
Time for the base.
I started with a quick preshade with an airbrush and a bone colour. I painted the flat areas brown and dry brushed with Pale Sand. I also carefully drybrushed the church and the rubble.
The church roof was given a blue glaze and I painted the cross and the bell with quick bronze NMM, using a thin layer of Nazdreg Yellow contrast as the base colour, highlighting up to a cream white.
The trident started with black primer and bone applied with an airbrush. Adding bit of rush with orange wash and stippling . Finally some scuffs on the edges with off-white.
Finally, I flocked the base and added some pigments tot he rubble and over the church.
The pigment fixer and flock sealant is drying now, I’m anxious to see how it turned out!
After this it’s a bit of tidy up and a coat of varnish to go.
