@sundancer – The dedicated space is definitely a factor. I’m the same in that my space is multi functioning as a work/study space as well. I get the feeling that an accumulation of hobby time over a longer period is probably a way forward. 10 minutes one night to prime. 20-30 the next to do all the cloth bits etc. Its a busy time of year though, so maybe you need the time to chill and not be too hard on yourself (I will attempt to take my own advise….)
@guillotine – I’ll have a read of that thread you created. Good points made and similar circs to myself. I think the acceptance of a seasonal approach is a good idea to be fair and its the acceptance in that time frame ending, rather than burning out or “quitting”, which probably makes the process easier (I imagine I usually do the latter). I like that one.
Yes I do get rid of hobby stuff I’m not using because I’m a bit OCD. It might sounds good to counter the clutter but I can’t tell you how much stuff I’ve got rid of that wish I still had. A balance is needed I feel. I miss my Bretonnians…..Morgana…Leon…
Nail on the head with the scale of projects and expectations as well.
Food for thought gentlemen – thank you both for the replies.
