Krumpin’ Good Orcs & Inquisitorial Previews From Artel!
December 9, 2021 by brennon
Artel W Miniatures has been showing off some brand new miniatures that are on the way for your 28mm Sci-Fi orc armies. We start with a mad scientist!
Frankenorc // Artel W Miniatures
Here we have the mighty Frankenorc who has no doubt been tinkering around with the powers of the warp and "science" in order to bring some of his fellow boyz back to life. He has clearly seen some hard times himself and been under another orc's knife, or his own? I guess if you experiment on yourself, no one can complain?
He will be available alongside his loyal companions (who have probably died many times over and been replaced) Igor, Egor and Ugor.
Another of the miniatures previewed is still in the work-in-progress stage BUT is coming together very nicely. Here we have the bombastic Kannoneer Nedd Orkgle.

I like the idea of him as a proper orc raider (as the model would suggest), riding around on the back of a looted vehicle looking to take control of the skies or the sea. Now you just need to put together a crew of suitably piratical orcs who are going to be following him into battle.
Inquisitorial Concepts
In addition to a couple of new orc miniatures, we also got a look at some initial sketches for a selection of Inquisitorial miniatures.
Inquisitor's Retinue // Artel W Miniatures
The idea is that each of these miniatures could be used to bulk out your Inquisitorial retinue in anything Inq28 related. You could also slot them into your Imperium forces as a range of characters seeking to hunt down witches and xenos across the galaxy.
We got a look at the awesome male figure above as well as this female character below. You could see her having some psychic abilities which allow her to foresee what is about to happen.
Inquisitor's Retinue // Artel W Miniatures
I love the idea that she could actually be blind and is led around by her guide servitor. It would make a very interesting concept and background for a Wrath & Glory character I reckon!
The last of the concept pieces is for this Daemonhost/Demonhost. This is one poor soul who has been used to contain the essence of some seething warp entity.
Demonhost // Artel W Miniatures
A powerful weapon to use against the forces of Chaos if you know what you're doing. I'm sure some of the more puritanical Inquisitors out there would not look kindly on the use of such a foul creature. I'm just saying that in most cases, containing a demon like this usually ends in trouble.
This is a neat glimpse into what's coming soon from Artel W Miniatures!

Fabulous looking Nobs/Warbosses to add to game force’s.
Imperial concepts… look like they would fit a certain game…

@brennon
It’s as if they can scry into my mind…
be honest, you’ve written every mini maker that isn’t G’Wullu a very long letter why they should make inquisitor style minis 😉
If Ben can use his awesome powers to convince “someone” to make a 28mm model of Inquisitor Covenant & chums, let alone Tyrus and his deranged gang of acolytes, well who are we to judge?
(But in all seriousness how has no one tackled either of those 2 yet – you can’t move for Eisenhorn & Ravenor but the other 2 OG Inquisitors? No chance)
Those orks look really good and those imperial concepts look promising.
