December 2021 Age of Sigmar Battleboxes // Games Workshop

Games Workshop are bringing players a new hoard of enemies for Age of Sigmar, including a great starting point for a Soulblight Gravelords army, reinforcements for the Hedonites of Slaanesh, Lumineth Realmlords reserves, and a hefty return of the Ossiarch Bonereapers.

The Revenant Legion brings the living dead in full force, providing a fantastic starting point for those looking to tap into a Soulblight Gravelords army. With Zombies, Blood Knights and Vampires dominating the table in a mish-mash of blood, gore and gothic fantastical savagery - providing a lot of options to expand.

"The Revenant Legion is a party in a box with 66 models including a bestial Vengorian Lord, five barded Blood Knights, 20 Deathrattle Skeleton warriors and, count ‘em, 40 Deadwalker Zombies."

Bringing style and finesse to the battlefield, the Sybarite Blade-Carnival places summoning mechanics to the forefront. Bringing some speedy movement and explosive tactics to the test - this Slaanesh force provides a different approach and challenge when taking down opposing enemies.

"Led by a Shardspeaker, this box also nets you three Slaangor Fiendbloods, ten Blissbarb archers – plus a lowly homunculus – and five Exalted Seekers which can be built as either Slickblades or Blissbarbs. Then there are ten elite warriors you can build as Mymirdesh Painbringers or frenzied Symbraesh Twinsouls."

The pure Aelf souls are stepping up for the Yuletide season too, bringing attention to the battle cattle force. Equipped with both magic and brute force - they approach the battle with glistening armour and are equipped to take the enemy down with grace.

"With Vanari Auralan Wardens, Bladelords, Dawnriders, and a Starshard Ballista, all led by a Vanari Bannerblade and a Lord Regent, this is the perfect Tyrionic hammer for newly arrived Realm-lords."

The final Battlebox to join the tabletop this festive season are the Ossiarch Bonereapers - bringing forth the Mortisan Tithe-Echelon from the grave and resurrecting to the battlefield. These hard hitters are not to be underestimated - with a defence line to not be reckoned with, you won't be finding these undead units skull-king in the shadows!

"Commanded by a Mortisan Boneshaper and a Soulreaper, these immortal debt collectors include 20 Mortek Guard and three Necropolis Stalkers – or three Immortis Guard, if you prefer. A Gothizzar Harvester refashions errant bones into new constructs for the army, while the Mortek Crawler hurls the gift of caskets of screaming souls at besieged enemies."

Containing plenty of models to keep you painting through the start of January 2021, there has been no price announced for each box as of yet. However, they will be released as part of a limited run as you can imagine! So if you are keen on getting your hands on the behemoth boxes for Age of Sigmar, be sure to pre-order at your FLGS when they are ready for retail.

The closer to December we get, the sooner the date that these boxes are announced, so get your purchasing clicky fingers at the ready!

Isn't it nice not to see a Battlebox dedicated to the Stormcast Eternals? They are stunning, but we certainly have seen a lot of the Fantasy Space Marines this year!
