Artel W Miniatures Bring Magnetic Heroes To Kickstarter
November 17, 2021 by brennon
Artel W Miniatures are now live on Kickstarter with their campaign aiming to bring a set of customisable heroes to the tabletop for your roleplaying games. Magnetic Heroes seems like a great way to cover those classic Fantasy archetypes.

The core of the campaign revolves around the creation of twelve high-quality resin in a 32mm scale. Each of these miniatures then comes with 127 plus options that allow you to customise your figures. So, that means swapping out heads, weapons, varied equipment choices and even fun accessories like pets.

The twist here is that each of the miniatures also includes spaces for strong magnetic joints. So, all of this assembly becomes a mix and match exercise! Has your Wizard levelled up? Swap out his weapons and introduce something new into the mix.
Pledge Options & Stretch Goals
With so many different variations to choose from it makes sense that you'd also have some interesting pledge options.
Player Pledge // Artel W Miniatures
There are a fair few options for you to choose from when it comes to pledges. You can start out with the Player Pledge which gives you one of the sets plus a load of different options to mix and match them.
However, you can also go for something as mighty as the Dungeons Legend pledge which introduces all four sets of heroes, all of the different accessories and weapons plus fun bits and pieces like terrain and animal companions.

There are plenty of in-between options for you to choose from as well. So, there should be a level that works for you. It's a shame that there aren't any female miniatures in this first collection but the folks at Artel W Miniatures have said that if this campaign is well received, they will look at returning with Magnetic Heroines in the future.
That might also mean that we get to see more of the "exotic" races like the introduction of Dragonborn, Dwarves, Tabaxi etc. They are obviously a little harder to design in such a customisable fashion so it will be interesting to see what their workaround will be in the future.
The campaign also features stretch goals that offer up brand new options for your heroes and villains.

When you're deep in a dungeon, a few torches and such are pretty handy! I really like the idea of mixing and matching components during gameplay. Your Wizard brings out a potion, swap out the hand. Your Fighter finds a brand new cursed weapon deep in a dungeon? Draw it and swap out that hand!
If you're interested in these miniatures, Gerry has been Unboxing these over the last few weeks! Take a look at the videos down below...
This gives you a good idea of the different miniatures you get to choose from and how they come together. Might this spur you on to snap up these miniatures from the Kickstarter?

Ooh love the variation of the new weapons an the haunted furniture looks fantastic.
These look so cool…. if I only had the slightest use for them :S But money needs to be spend on things that are actually being used at some point :S
Anyone who has followed my Night Lords project knows how much I love Artel W. There sculpts are fantastic (albeit IP infringing!).
If I did anything at all with Fantasy stuff or D&D, I would be all over this like a corpulent person at an all you can eat buffett.
Those are really nice.
