Get A Closer Look At New Dystopian Wars Battlefleets

Warcradle Studios has got a selection of Battlefleets for you to pre-order right now for use in Dystopian Wars. There are two sets for The Empire and The Crown as well as a Support Squadron for those playing as The Enlightened.
Tianlong Battlefleet Set // Dystopian Wars
For those wanting to do something insane and quirky with Dystopian Wars then I could see these miniatures being perfect. Why have a normal ship when you could have a floating dragon construct?

This set gives you three of the incredibly impressive Tianlong Draconic Colossus and then six Gong Destroyers. I would love to see some painting of the Draconic Colossus in particular, especially if someone could echo that red, metallic look. Add in some gold and jade and you'd have some stunning looking treasures AND terrors.
As well as The Empire, we also have The Crown who are bringing the massive Victory Battlefleet Set to the tabletop.

This is a pretty solid way for you to dive into Dystopian Wars. It gives you pretty much everything that you would need to get started in the game with a myriad of different ships to choose from. Also, look how awesome it appears when all painted up!

I do like that deep, rich red and the way it matches with the gold of The Crown. Within the set, you get Victory Heavy Carriers, Albion, Caliburn, Agincourt, Hotspur, Athelstan and Excalibur Class Cruisers. You have the luxury of choice here for sure. This is then bolstered with the addition of the Morgana Class Submarines which can be used to hunt your enemies.
Lastly, we have another painted example of the new sets. Here we have the Enlightened Support Squadrons which have been given a lick of paint.

Another neat option for those looking to expand your collection. Fulfilling a special role and plugging some of the gaps in your fleet, this set comes with two Plinius Cruisers which can also be built as Quintilian, Tacitus and Claudius Class Cruisers. You also get the Praxilla Submarines which can also be built as Diogenes Class Submarines instead.

Again, an impressive collection of miniatures when painted up. I love the cold feel of the ships with all of that battleship grey in the mix. It then means that when you see the glowing green, it looks all the more menacing. I like how it looks when introduced alongside the sea designs of the submerged ships. It would be terrifying seeing these hoving towards you.
Are you going to be pre-ordering these this month?

"Why have a normal ship when you could have a floating dragon construct?"
Kudos to them for trying some weird design with the Tianlong Battlefleet but those flyers sure are… “an acquired taste”? Is that the term I’m looking for? I think so. Not my cup of tea *g* But definitely something different.
They look to fantasy to me. Which is off putting in a more sci-fi thematically game.
They do remain me of the dino transformers beast.?
it’s not *that* weird … they appear to be chinese dragons, which kind of fits with the theme.
definitely an acquired taste, but that kind of applies to the setting too.
The original Chinese fleets in Dystopian Wars did have similar flyers, and you also had other units like submarines that looked like giant squids, a castle on legs, all manner of flying robots, and the infamous “Time Dilation Orb” the Covenant had.
Those are good looking ships and mechanical dragons.
I will probably end up with all of these eventually. The Covenant first, followed by the Imperium. The Crown carrier looks great but the fleet is secondary for us.
