Originally announced for Windows back in 2016, then after being adapted to consoles and Andriod, Stardew Valley has now taken the plunge for a new experience on the tabletop. Solidifying the themes that run digitally, the board game promotes farming and friendship in the new cooperative experience.

1-4 players will take root in growing their farm, by expanding their crops, having appropriate livestock and making friends with all of the wholesome villagers that you may engage with. Villagers will have goals for you to explore and in hope of fending off the evil Joja Corporation.

Game designer, Barone, has fought long and hard to ensure that copies of the game were distributed worldwide, and has encouraged people to get in contact with their FLGS first-hand for their best chance in getting a copy.  "It's not possible for us to keep track of which stores specifically, so the best way is to contact your local store and ask if they are carrying copies."

Just in case you do get your hands on the Stardew Valley Board Game today online, do be warned that there might be an issue getting the game to you before or in time for Christmas.  Although there will be a restock in both FLGS stores and online - there is always the chance that players might not receive their coveted game this side of Christmas if they are relying on your friendly neighbourhood postman.

When I was looking to purchase the board game, all I was left with was several eBay listings for the board game worth £300+. I cannot justify paying £300 for a board game (or justify it to my housemate!) - so hopefully I might get in on time to my FLGS and try to swag myself a box!

Will you be trying your luck at getting your hands on Stardew Valley The Board Game?
