This book focuses on the period of 1944-45 and the pressing attacks of the Allies against the German war machine. This breaks down into new rules and background for Veteran M4 Sherman Tank Companies, Veteran M24 Chafee Tank Companies, the Battle Weary Armoured Rifle Company, Battle Weary Rifle Company, Bastogne Parachute Rifle Company and much more.
Pushing back against the Germans you'll get to introduce the likes of the Bastogne Glider Rifle Company who had now become veteran fighters alongside their parachute brothers and Destroyer Companies based around the M18 and M36. German armour beware.
American Starter Force
A book is great but miniatures are even better. The American Spearhead Starter Force has all that you need to get going during this period.

Inside this set, you get a big M4 Jumbo (75mm or 76mm) Tank, four Easy Eight Tanks, two M26 Pershing Tanks, four M24 Chaffee Tanks, three M4 Sherman Launchers, two M8 Greyhound Armoured Cars, two Jeeps (with machine guns or 60mm guns), and finally one Parachute Rifle Company.

As well as the miniatures you'll also find the A5 Flames Of War Rulebook which is a handy way to learn the rules, a Start Here Guide, Unit Cards and of course some Decal Sheets. So, this is a neat way to get started if you're looking to play as the Americans during this period of World War II.
With winter closing in it seems apt that we'd make our way into the depths of blasted and burnt snowy forests. I reckon this will make for some excellent-looking armies on the tabletop.
Are you going to be snapping this book and Starter Force up?

I’ve always liked the Chaffee
Now that’s a good looking armoured unit set.
Nice late-war American starter set. The Chaffee is just such a likable little tank, and nice to see the brutish Pershing in there too. Great for Battle of Germany era games.
