Dwarf Light Infantry Marches To War Soon In Oathmark
October 12, 2021 by brennon
North Star Military Figures has been showing off some of the finished and painted Dwarf Light Infantry which are going to be available to pre-order soon. These miniatures help build on the options available to Oathmark armies and can be used in other 28mm Fantasy wargames too.
Dwarf Light Infantry // Oathmark
Much like with previous sets from North Star for Oathmark, this is packed with options. The set allows you to make unarmoured Dwarven warriors armed with a range of hand weapons and bows. You've got big beefy hammers, axes and also picks if you're looking to make a band of whistling miners.
There is also a good range of different head and body options present within the set too. This makes this a nice diverse set that could be used on its own or mixed in with the existing Dwarf kits to create some unique-looking armies.
You can get a closer look at the sprue and its contents down below...

As another set of options for the "toy box" that is Oathmark, this is a fun addition. We now have three different tiers of troops for the Dwarves and (as mentioned above) this can all be mixed and matched together as you see fit.
Quite a few folks online have already been scratching their chins and pondering on the possibilities. For example, I know a lot of hobbyists have been working out the best way to make Thorin's Company from The Hobbit using this kit. All you need to do is throw in a Wizard and a Halfling and you've got a troupe fit to march on Erebor.
Are you going to be snapping up this plastic set?

No, not getting these… these are all for you @brennon 😉 Help yourself! BUY THEM ALL!
These are not for me but they do look sweet. More than that I’m delighted to see Oathmark getting a release. Hopeful we’ll see some elves on horses at some point.
Those are some really nice looking dwarves.
Is it a sad indictment of the hobby that it has to be mentioned that these can be used for other fantasy wargames as well
Nice looking figures though
Dwarf rangers?
I may pick these up. I really like the old school Tolkien dwarf feel of this set.
