Wyrd Release One-Shot Halloween Penny Dreadful RPG Available Now
October 7, 2021 by fcostin
Are you looking for a fantastical Halloween RPG? A one-shot to get your head stuck into with a couple of friends this spooky season? You are in luck, Wyrd has most recently released a new One Shot: Beneath the Baumwood, taking players through the dark and gloomy - right in time for Halloween.
Beneath the Baumwood // Wyrd
Players will be heading into a series of queries and questions which will have players on the edge of their seats:
"In Beneath the Baumwood, being at the wrong place at the wrong time will lead the Fated into a dark and unsettling past. To escape its arboreal clutches, players will have to work their way through various riddles brought to them by the Baumwood’s denizens."
Oberling '// Malifaux
Players will get up and close to the Oberling, a very inquisitive spirit lurking through the forest with clues and answers which players might seek in an attempt to leave the woods all in one piece. Players will seek the truth of the forest and hope to not lose their way in the meantime.
Heading into the woods for me, it is both magical and spooky and the perfect setting for a whimsical and fantastical Halloween setting. Malifaux players will recognise familiar characters and races, including those featured in the upcoming Rotten Harvest Malifaux boxes: Toil and Trouble and Beward the Lights.
The campaign can be downloaded as of now, and fortunately, you won't need to wait for the postman to arrive to get your copy. Ready to download from DriveThruRPG instantly. And! If you are lucky, for every player who purchases Beneath the Baumwood on DriveThruRPG before 31st October, they will be in for the running to get their hands on the Malifaux Rotten Harvest 2021 alt boxes.
What RPGs will you be playing this Halloween?
"Players will get up and close to the Oberling, a very inquisitive spirit lurking through the forest with clues and answers which players might seek in an attempt to leave the woods all in one piece. "
