Ragnarok Miniatures’ Kickstarter Is Assaulted By A Host Of Goblins
October 7, 2021 by avernos
Ragnarok Miniatures' current Kickstarter campaign for the Viking undead Draugr in Ragnarok 2 has seen a sudden glut of new models. There were already two packs of the Dark Elf models available but after some requests for full warbands Collin and Esther went one better and pulled forward several more packs of sculpts that were due to be released next year!
Dokkalfar // Ragnarok Miniatures
The first two packs are some night goblin-esque robbed figures. Armed with shields and spears they are the wicked miners of Scandiwegian myth and legends, black-skinned and shunning the light.
Apart from the monkishly robbed dark elf models, there are some heavily armoured versions that would stand in as elite hearth guards in your games of SAGA for example
While they have an overall look of men from a distance as the lines of the shieldwalls came together their soot-black skin and sharply feral features became visible between their helms and rims of leather edged shields. It was then we knew that the Dokkalfar had come to exact revenge. - Linneas Magnusson
Speaking of feral a hooded clan of animal skin wearing figures have a sinister aspect. Some sculpts have rudimentary armour made from a plate strapped in front of their chest, or if you want to make them into religious fanatics then perhaps it is a wooden board with cult symbols drawn on it.
The final set available are the weakest, poorest, and most likely to die first as the levy goes forward into the thickest fighting first!
This is an incredible set of figures to add to a Kickstarter that was already very well covered for the range they were looking to produce. Now the Dokkalfar is in one fell swoop another full SAGA Warband without much effort. Add to the five packs the fact that you are looking at a minimum of eleven sculpts per pack and you can field a massive force of evil on the battlefield without worrying about duplications making the units look like carbon copies.
Collin's sculpting is beautiful and this range means Ragnarok Miniatures is expanding at a rate of knots, the only question now is what will 2022 bring, Light Elves or Valkyries perhaps?

They are really nice and great to see something different
Those look really promising.
Interesting looking figures.
Oh yes. If they add any archers I might have to splurge.
Splurge cash. Some dirty minds on this site!
Anyone else see that army of Yogurts/Yodas ?
Beautiful sculpting of Collin and the incredible sets of hooded clan of animal skin.
