The official Dice Throne Twitter account made a very special announcement last night, showing where the future of the tactical dice and card game is headed.

Heading over to Kickstarter, Roxley - who have been known to produce titles surrounding big-title licences have now announced the Marvel version of Dice Throne.

Announced on Twitter, other than the premise that the game will be heading over to Kickstarter and the game link, Marvel characters will join the fray of the free-for-all card and dice throwing game.

According to the Board Game Geek page, players in the Marvel edition of Dice Throne will have the ability to play competitively against their opponents or in a Marvel-themed tactical-team take-down.

In Dice Throne, 2-6 players battle it out in a free-for-all of individual heroes battling it out regardless of their strength or skills. Their unique and unmatched abilities create a unique gameplay experience depending on what hero is chosen. Players can fight, upgrade, sabotage, and manipulate their opponent's play - but in a game between 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, or 2v2v2 - it sure is anybody's game!

Dice Throne - How To Play // Watch It Played

In my personal opinion, I am slowly becoming concerned with the industry being saturated with Marvel and Disney predominately especially Kickstarter. I am excited for the premise of Dice Throne expanding its way into the Marvel Universe. But with the recent announcement that Marvel characters will be joining Unmatched by Restoration Games too along with their own games systems (Marvel Crisis Protocol and Marvel Champions - to name a few), we are indeed seeing these characters cross into different tabletop platforms and hope the Dice Throne brings a truly unique experience with the beloved superheroes and create something truly unique.

The Kickstarter will be going live in November, so be sure to tick off the notification request on the Kickstarter page to be poked when live!
