Scibor Miniatures have a whole host of new releases for fans of fantasy gaming with a few that may seem both hauntingly familiar and very welcome for the tabletop as we move into October.

Monster Slayers // Scibor Miniatures

The Monster Slayers have two mercenary monster hunters, a sacrificial musician to push towards the monster or stake out before its lair and a gentleman wielding what I'm going to have to call a sword because I'm sure they don't make cleavers that big! Also I can't help but feel that he would be happier with a pyramid hat on.

Next up are the peasants. There is no point in stalking a monster unless you are going to get paid, and no one is going to pay you unless some of them have been eaten by a monster, and so we have the latest set of peasantry to fill your table and wyvern's bellies! A set of four Slavic looking fellows for your tabletop to add a bit of colour to your gaming. I am strangely drawn to the one on the far right with the impressive facial hair who is towering over the others, not sure why mind you.

All of the miniatures are 30mm resin cast and the detailing is as always exquisite from Scibor, while it is expected on the Monster Slayers being more of the characterful hero types the fact that they lavish the same attention to the peasants is what stands out for me. The quilting on the jackets is a lovely touch that really set them off.

Objective Markers // Scibor Miniatures

There are also two sets of objective markers the Roadside Shrine and Slavic Gods. Apart from being a more interesting way of marking locations and objectives over some plastic tokens on your tabletop they are beautiful pieces of scatter terrain in their own right. Although in the case of the Slavic Gods pair creepily so, I mean if I was taking a road less travelled and came across one of those wooden markers at a crossroads I'd head back the way I came.

Scibor Miniatures Noonwraith Relief

Finally for the artists among you a simply gorgeous relief that looks like it has been rendered from a medieval woodcut. The Noonwraith Relief is ~65mm in diameter and it has been a joy to watch this come to life over the past week on their facepage. While it has limited tabletop use I couldn't look at their new releases and not show off this piece of art. It is one of the reasons that I love what Scibor do, not everything needs to be a gameplay piece sometimes the art itself is enough and there they shine with a range of larger figures and objet d'art solely there for painters to enjoy.
