In bands with the 'Portuguese' series of games within the Azul universe, players put down their shards and pick up a different kind of tool because the garden is open.

The beautiful Garden of the palace, dedicated to Queen Maria of Aragon, is in need of construction. The glass artists are to trade in their trades into gardening to ensure the aesthetic is suited for the rest of the palace's magnificence. This time, passing from a square into a hexagon.

The announcement has been made, but more will be underway for this puzzling board game at Essen Spiel 2021 on October 14th. I am looking forward to seeing what is next for this puzzling experience, ready to join the array of Azul games already popular for board gamers across the table! A game that sometimes can appear to be a calming experience but later experience that the tiles are not your friends.

What is your favourite Azul title?
