The Skull-tribe Slaughterers Hit The Gridiron Of Blood Bowl
September 20, 2021 by brennon
Games Workshop has covered pretty much every base with their set of reveals from Gen Con this year. Alas, we didn't get any Middle-earth news but we did see a new team brought to life for Blood Bowl. The Skull-tribe Slaughterers are ready to spill blood on the gridiron.

If you thought that the Norse or the Black Orcs were violent then you haven't had the joy of seeing the Skull-tribe in action. Not even the most talented goblin apothecary could bring back players from the beating that these Khornate players dish out.
There are twelve miniatures in this team bulked out by the Bloodborn Marauder Linesmen. Normally it's a bit terrible being asked to sit on the line but these players love the brutality of it all.

Your heavy hitters come in the form of the Bloodseekers. These berserker champions are probably not going to do much with the ball but they will utterly hammer your opponent into the dirt. If there is no opposing team you win by default right?

Last but not least we have the Khorngors (of which you get two). These are Bestigors (who look like werewolves to me) who are fast and eager.

This is a pretty neat looking team I have to say. I wasn't sure how much I'd be drawn to a Khorne-based Blood Bowl team but I like the overall look. I just hope that you love edging everything in gold and then having to go back in and paint over the red you messed up!
Have you been playing a lot of the latest edition of Blood Bowl?

Nice looking team. Blood to the Blood God, skulls to skull throne of Khorne.
I like these a lot. Lots of character with a great feeling of speed and power. I’m not a huge fan of GWs design style but I do like what is coming out for Blood Bowl
Must admit even although I don’t play BB (I play Dreadball instead), these are the “hit” of the Gen-Con releases. Really nice minis, and more importantly animation/posing on this team (I still can’t forgive GW for their basic human team and how all the Linesmen were sporting a “Jazz Hands” pose 🙁 ). But IF I did play BB, these woulddefinately go onto my shopping list (although I “could” still buy them and just borrow the rules from someone else…..hmmmmm).
Ooh they look brilliant game figures.
why not come on over to the forum and mull over these a bit more!

Angry Red Chaos is not my favourite Chaos but these are very very good. I need to get my finger out with my converted Tricksy Blue Chaos BB team before GW beat me to it
Blue tricksters might be interesting as I considered the modification for Tzeentch warriors for the pitch with regard to FUMMBL. Pinky-purple point pushers might well be fun to field. Sukubus Studios does a good team that would likely be interesting but I think the sculpts might be geared more toward a dark elf build. If you bought your team piecemeal it’d work over purchasing the full team.
I’ve mostly got Tzaangor and … some minis from Silver Tower. The latter don’t really scream heavily armoured Chaos Warrior but they fit the theme (or would if I ever assemble and paint them)
Hmm… interesting that there’s this new release for Khone pop fans. I wonder if they’re revisiting the rules set from BB annuals that had the stats for the Chaos teams.
