The big green boyz are back for Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 this weekend. Pre-orders are going live for the Codex alongside a new Combat Patrol set and lots more for those who missed out on the launch box.

Codex Orks - Warhammer 40K NEW

This Codex comes with fancy art on the cover that I think is probably better than the option from the Beast Snagga box. It will come with all of the updated rules that you'll need for diving into your games of Warhammer 40,000 with your Waaagh! I love that all of the characters on the front are embracing the spirit of dakka.

As well as the Codex, we also have the new Combat Patrol set that offers up a neat entry point into the grimdark future.

This set comes with two bands of Ork Boyz which can be armed with a selection of shootas, choppas, and even a rocket launcher or two. You also get those badass-looking Nobz leading the way. You also get a selection of the new Deffkoptas chugging into sight alongside the stomping Deff Dread. Leading the way is also the Mega-Armoured Warboss with his friendly Grot Gunner.

It looks like a fun set that is more or less packed with new miniatures. I can sense a lot of people wanting to pick this up for those who like greenskins who have been living greenskin adjacent.

Beast Snagga Boyz!

As well as the new Combat Patrol and the Codex, you also get the chance to pick up some of the previously available Beast Snagga miniatures. At the head of the advance we have the Beastboss who is ready to chomp, stomp and blast you to pieces.

Another of the characters in the set was Zodgrod Wortsnagga and this classic character is now back in the mix. If you're ready to lead an army of Grots and Gretchin into battle then you've found your slightly wild-looking Ork.

Talking of wild Orks, there is also going to be a new set of Beast Snagga Boys for you to throw into the mix. Armed and armoured with the means to hunt down the deadliest of alien beasts, these Orks are bigger and badder than even their regular Ork kin.

They have even mastered the regular Squighogs that range across the planet's surface. Clanking into battle with a roar in their throats, these are well worth snapping up if you want some fast cavalry options to flank your foes.

The Beast Snagga boyz are some of the coolest Orks that I think we've seen so far. It's neat that they've branched out to explore the various tribes that battle across the galaxy of the grimdark future.

Battle Wagons & Big 'Eds

Finally, we also have a vehicle returning to the scene plus some options in the way of terrain. The Battlewagon is going to be trundling into the battle with a few new options. The existing kit has been repackaged to give you a Deff Rolla or a Kannon.

It will be fun to see what else Ork hobbyists do with this particular miniature. Ork vehicles are made to be tinkered with and tweaked with all sorts of oddities. I think this needs a few more guns? Right?

Last but not least when it comes to the miniatures from Games Workshop, we also have this Big 'Ed Bossbunka. This can be dropped onto the battlefield to give some more support.

There is a lot for you to pick up for those diving into collecting an Ork army or expanding an existing one. It is very good to finally see the Orks get the update they needed. It looks like my new army, the Aeldari, are still a ways off, but I hope we get a similar update!

It should also be added that you will be able to pick up themed Ork Dice AND Ork Datacards from the folks at Games Workshop. You will NEED to be quick with these as they always, always, always sell out very quickly.

Are you going to be pre-ordering some more Orks this weekend?
