Grab Free Dominion Downloads For Age Of Sigmar: Warcry
August 26, 2021 by brennon
Games Workshop is now offering up a set of Free Warcry Downloads for the Stormcast Eternals and Orruk Kruleboyz that were found in Dominion. So, you can now add these new Age Of Sigmar miniatures into your smaller scale Fantasy skirmishes.
New Dominion Warcry Rules // Warcry
Shop Warcry @ Store.OnTableTop
There are new cards and abilities for both of the forces present in the Dominion Starter Sets. So, this means that you can bring the full might of Sigmar to bear with his Annihilators or cast cunning spells with the swamp-dwelling Kruleboyz.
Thunderstrike Stormcasts - Kruleboyz - War Of The Morruk Hills
As well as the rules (see above) for the Stormcast Eternals and Kruleboyz, you'll also find a campaign for you to play through with your new warbands. War Of The Morruk Hills continues the narrative set out in Amberstone Watch from the Boxed Game and Starter Sets.
War Of The Morruk Hills // Warcry
I really like this touch from the folks at Games Workshop. It means that you can dive in and start playing some smaller games with your friends that are focused on the narrative side of Age Of Sigmar. You will find yourself fighting on three fronts (marked with skulls) as the forces of Sigmar try and make their foothold more permanent in the realm of Ghur.
With these downloads being free it feels like a no-brainer to try this out if you have the miniatures and a copy of the Warcry rules to hand.
Are you going to be giving this a shot?

This seems good to those that play Warcry because they are giving rules for new units as free downloads.
Given that in order to use these you need to buy the $200 Kruleboyz starter with some other crap that no one cares about unless you’re going to convert it into Thunder Warriors, this seems kind of pointless. And if you want to use the scenario, you still need to buy the Warcry starter set, so either way it’s still a money-grab unless you use pirated downloads of all the manuals and proxy models.
That’s a bit of a stretch. If you have the Dominion box (like me) and perhaps already have WarCry rules and tokens (like me) – you can play with 2 new factions (without buying card packs) and get a whole new scenario for free.
It’s not trying to claim that it’s a complete game for free, but it is a nice thing to get all the cards for 2 factions and a scenario – for free.
It’s not really free if you have to buy stuff to get them.
You don’t have to buy anything to get the faction cards and scenarios. Faction pack cards for WarCry typically sell for (I think a fiver per faction), so it’s just a nice thing for people who have the dominion box and maybe want to use those models in games of WarCry.
nice
wait … GW not selling this, but making it available for download ?
What happened ?
I thought that the only ‘free’ stuff was in White Dwarf ?
I like that we don’t have to wait months for a set of cards to become temporarily available …
I wish they had done this before trying to sell us those packs of unit cards for Warcry.
