Gringo 40's have published a preview showing a cavalry man decked out in the particularly eye catching uniform of Napoleon's Mamelukes.

Mamelukes

The Mamelukes were originally a slave force of warrior that actually held more status than many free men of their societies. However, the colourful uniform and fire arm suggests this is one of the Mamelukes of Napoleon's armies.

The model itself looks like an accurate depiction of the Mameluke's flamboyant uniform, all of which is shown off by the paint scheme. It would definitely be promising to see a full unit of these fielded.

What do you know of the Mamelukes in Napoleon's forces?
