Crooked Dice Love It When New Releases Come Together
August 2, 2021 by avernos
Over the weekend Crooked Dice unveiled a flurry of new releases for 7TV that would work for moderns and for people looking for a more fantastical twist, so let's dive in and see what they have to offer players.
Soldiers Of Fortune // 7TV
First up are a squad of intrepid soldiers of fortune, wanted by the government for a crime they didn't commit they escaped into the Los Angeles underground where they ply their trade if you can find them ... or so I am reliably informed.
I absolutely adore these figures, first off come on it's the A-Team, they are the coolest and anyone who thinks otherwise is completely wrong. Secondly, it's the attention to detail on the sculpts. Murdock has his sock puppet in his pocket, Hannibal is wearing his leather gloves, Face sporting an immaculate suit with cravat and BA, well let's face it BA is all detail from the feather earring to the jewellery to his white pumps and socks. They capture the very essence of the characters from the show and the paint job by Mystic Spirals is nailed on, even the sculpt of Billy is perfectly executed. I love them so much here is a gallery of them up close to bask in.
But these are not the only nostalgia kick linked to Liam Neeson that Crooked Dice have released this week, oh no not by a long shot as a set of Sorcerous Sentinels are also now available and sure to bridge the gap between high fantasy and science fiction equally well.

Obviously perfect for their 7TV Fantasy game these Slayers will also be terrific for anyone thinking about some Stargrave Aliens as well, but at the end of the day, we all know that the only way to defeat their evil master is not with a Glaive but with true love. These triclopean villains are one of the defining memories of the film for me the featureless face being particularly sinister, never mind the red hot poker of a laser they carry.

Apart from the miniatures, there are also a pair of scenery pieces to set off your games of 7TV, above we have the most important part of any evil genius' volcano lair, a massive map of the world to decide the next target of your giant space lasers beam of destruction. While for the more Lovecraftian horror or fantasy games there is the Dagon's Teeth Monolith. A squamous idol to a forgotten Elder god or an aberration that requires cleansing, the choice is yours but I will definitely be grabbing one of these for myself for reasons.

I am constantly astounded at what Crooked Dice do, not just with the quality of the sculpts but also the sheer diversity of the releases capturing the feel of genres and specific characters within them. This current batch holds up to my high expectations and I imagine many people will be grabbing these for their games, will you be one?
If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them....maybe you can hire The A-Team.

Love the Murdock pose
The not A-Team is awesome so are the Sentinels, where are they from?
Krull. Go to YouTube and type in Krull soundtrack. It’s one of James Horner’s finest. The film ain’t bad either.
Krull was not a great movie, but it was fun…
Short in stature, tall in power, narrow of purpose and wide of vision.
Credit has to be given to whoever paints for Crooked Dice, they are fantastic. So smooth and colourful.
+1. Also the sculptor seems to have a fantastic grasp on how difference materials behave, the clothing is incredibly lifelike.
They should put a cylon next to the Soldiers Of Fortune …. just for… reference.. .
I remember that episode… Dirk Benedict as Face giving the eye to a Cyclon…
They need a van of course…
Pity the movie remake lacked the charm of the TV series.
It was also in the Intro… every time
With tiny larson scanner eyes? https://youtu.be/rOthaV0oVoA
😉
nice one…
I have the Studio Miniatures not A-Team and was *thinking* I ought to paint them only last night.
Yes I’ll get these too, they’re superb
studio miniatures set doesn’t contain Billy though
Billy? What you talkin about?
he’s right there beside Murdock
That stands for Bad Attitude fool
other side of Murdock obviously
Aw man I need to quit my jibber jabber
I pity the fool who doesn’t like these.
I love it when my model’s come together.
Great figures A-Team an the Krull soldiers.
i see the have J King PI as well.
Crooked Dice do some amazing mini. Obvious who they supposed to be. I had to get the Dick Dastardly and Mutley and have a lot more.
The cards in their 7TV games are obvious and characterful too.
Oh dear… They got me there… The Not the A-Team are my next team for Last Days…
They sculpted Cylons. They sculpted Face… so they kinda have Starback… next we need Apollo, Boomer, Adama, Athena, Cassiopea and a Daggett 🙂
To paraphrase Hannibal: “I love it when a mini comes together”!
They look great and the paintjob is awesome!
Was that before or after The Battle of Cannae?
Ha! Love the A-Team and Krull minis!
I dont know much about 7TV but Crooked Dice minis look awesome. I’ve been meaning to pick up a few they look great.
