Warhost has now released their next Mini-Campaign for The Barons' War. O Worthy Man Of English Blood is the next narrative campaign for you to introduce into your Medieval tabletop miniatures games and you can snag it over on Footsore Miniatures webstore.

O Worthy Man Of English Blood - The Barons War

O Worthy Man Of English Blood // The Barons' War

This new pack is perfect for those wanting to get an introduction to The Barons' War. It provides you with the rules for playing out a linked clash between two nobles and the forces that they are able to muster to fight by their side.

Thomas, Count Of Perche faces off against William Of Cassingham across three scenarios that grow in scale. You start with The Forest Road where a supply wagon is ready to be ambushed. You then move to Rats In A Trap where the Count Of Perche tracks the band of miscreants back to their hideout.

This then all reaches its finale as part of Le Grace Dieu where William Of Cassingham launches a raid on the French supply chain. He heads down to a nearby estuary and seeks to rob a merchant ship of its supplies.

Both of the characters mentioned here are available as part of a new set. This set also comes with the rules mentioned above in PDF form.

As well as the rules for playing out the three scenarios you'll also find ways to build new warbands. There are profiles for playing Outlaws which are used to present William's men but could also be tweaked to work as Robin Hood's Merry Men as they range the woodlands of Nottingham. There are also specific rules for traps and snares!

This seems like a nice entry point into The Barons' War giving you two different factions to field. On the one side, the flower of French nobility. On the other side, a vagabond and a cur (to some) fighting back against an invader.

Are you going to be giving this a go?
