Warhammer 40K’s Adepta Sororitas Get Their Combat Patrol Set!

Games Workshop are ramping up the release of more reinforcements for the Adepta Sororitas in Warhammer 40,000. The Sisters Of Battle are getting themselves a new Combat Patrol set which actually looks pretty jam-packed!

This new set comes with a Canoness to lead the way, a Rhino to use as transport, a Penitent Engine, four Sisters Repentia, a Repentia Superior, five Seraphim and ten Battle Sisters. That is pretty much all the things you'd need to get started playing as the Adepta Sororitas.
I am beginning to quite like these Combat Patrol sets. They have been designed to work using the quick and easy Power Rating of each unit meaning that you should be able to get down to the table and enjoy a casual game or two with friends.
Characters & Tank Support
In addition to the Combat Patrol, a couple of new character sets are also going to be popping up. You will be able to lead the way under the light of The Emperor with Aestred Thurga And Agathae Dolan.
Aestred Thurga & Agathae Dolan // Warhammer 40,000
Aestred carries the mighty Auto-Tapestry Of The Emperor’s Judgement into battle inspiring those around her to greater feats. She is then followed by Agathae who records the acts of faith performed by those within your army. An interesting narrative pairing as well as having fun gameplay potential.
As well as that pair we also have the deadly Palantine.
Palantine // Warhammer 40,000
A skilled fighter and excellent commander, the Palantine are a good stand-in for some of the other leaders that the Adepta Sororitas can bring to bear. A pretty cool miniature that would be a nice addition to a wider force.
You can also roll the absolutely massive Castigator into battle too. This is a new mainline battle tank for the Adepta Sororitas with a bloomin' big cannon.

It's cool that the Adepta Sororitas is getting not only loads of old miniatures updated but also something totally new too. I am very tempted to dive in and pick up some of the Adepta Sororitas. I could see them being a really fun army to paint up.
Battlezone: Mechanicus
You can also pick up the new Battlezone set which comes with all manner of terrain. Dive into the Charadon Sector and fight out the newest battles from the unfolding narrative in Warhammer 40,000.
Battlezone: Mechanicus Charadon // Warhammer 40,000
This comes with the different pieces of terrain as you see here, the battle boards to play games on and a couple of missions too. Dive into a Combat Patrol and Incursion mission as you scour the sector of the Chaos menace.
In addition to the Battlezone set you will also be able to pick up some gaming boards separately and also some Datasheets for the terrain you see above.
There is plenty for you to dive into and check out for Warhammer 40,000!

I think from all current G’Wullu non-Orc lines the Adeptus Sororitas is the one I like best…
I am so going to buy this Combat Patrol box. I have been thinking to start SoB for some time but it has been rather expensive before this one. Palantine is nice to get to buy on her on and I do like that new tank that SoB gets.
One important note, the sisters model in the Combat Patrol box are the ones from the “pre release” set with the codex, so they have no build/gear options.
And the Palantine is already released, this release of the model is for Japan.
I really like the tank and the banner bearer.
This Combat Patrol box isn’t one of the best boxes because these are singlepose models from the limited Sisters set, so no options.
Honestly? I’ve been waiting for the Army Box kits to get a wider release – either here in the Compat Patrol or as part of the forthcoming Warhammer 40,000: Imperium partwork. With a full array of multipart kits there is a LOT you can do with these mono-poses to add some variety. Headswaps are the most obvious, but the Seraphim should be easy enough to kitbash Inferno Pistols & Hand Flamers onto, or to make into Zephyrim, and the Battle Sisters I’ve got some ideas for using spare special or heavy weapons. Honestly the most awkward ones are probably goingto… Read more »
The banner bearer is fantastic looking. Hopefully this is the start of new models for the sisters.
