Turn Your Fossils & Fruit Into Bells In Animal Crossing Monopoly
July 26, 2021 by fcostin
Regardless of how many board, card, RPG and Miniature games we all have hoarded amongst our Dragon cove, you would be sure to find many a different type of Monopoly within the collection. Within mine, lives Lord of the Rings and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Monopoly, but there has been a particular variant that has swept off of shelves as quick as Tom Nook in a rush to the City Hall.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Monopoly has taken the world by storm, and the Nintendo-themed classic game has sold out across stores worldwide. And the game is not even released yet!
So if you are looking to collect fish, bugs and fossils, and utilise your 'Nook Miles' on a tabletop capacity, you may want to keep your eyes open for the reskinned classic.

It seems there is quite the demand for property in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Monopoly, as Tom Nook - the money-centric raccoon - is asking for a fair bit of dollar (or bells) to ensure players do not get too greedy!
However, switching Monopoly money over to bells doesn't exactly sound like a huge change, players will be encouraged to collect bugs, fossils, fish and fruit as they land on a property along with the chance to talk to some popular characters to undergo objectives and missions just like in the popular Nintendo game.
Players will have access to the famous shop 'Nook's Cranny' for their chance to spend bells to decorate. Anything purchased from Nooks Cranny will translate over to Nook Miles. The player with the most Nook Miles is eventually crowned the winner.
The game truly has been a great success during the pre-order period - selling out in most FLGS stores worldwide. Releasing August 2021, if you are a fan of the Animal Crossing franchise and like the idea of sharing this adventure on the tabletop in a familiar capacity - be sure to keep your eyes out for the reprint, or for a rogue copy on the shelf of your FLGS.
