I can only speak for myself, and I know that I would never forgive myself if I directly or indirectly caused harm to someone else. So yes, I’m taking this seriously. I have a lot of elderly and immune deficient clientele and family, so I’m being as careful as I can and listening to healthcare and science experts (NOT political pundits and politicians). And with this bug, sometimes there is no apparent rhyme or reason as to who gets hit the worst by it.

If health experts tell me that getting vaccinated and/or wearing a mask is what needs to be done to eventually shut this pandemic down and get us back to a semblance of normal, while safeguarding as many lives as possible, then that’s what I’m going to do. No one likes it, but that’s no reason not to be a good neighbor to those around me.

I wish everyone well in this crazy and, hopefully, once in a lifetime event.
