Mantic Games are now taking pre-orders for their upcoming Sci-Fi sports game, OverDrive! You are now able to buy the core game as well as the first Rival Pack and more.

OverDrive Core Box // Mantic Games

The Core Box for OverDrive gives you six different Giants that you can use to clash on the sports field of the future. Taking cues from video games there are six game modes included in the box as well. You can play King Of the Hill, Pass The Bomb, Capture The Flag, Killing Streak, Invade and DodgeBrawl. All of them sound like they could be a bunch of fun.

Character-wise you get access to plastic miniatures for Karadon, Brank Reborn, Skarathron, Synechdoche, Dozer and The Spawn. You can see those miniatures HERE.

Rival Pack

As well as the Core Box, you can also pick up the Rival Pack. This first set comes with Tigrax and Shadow, two new Giants that you can draft when choosing your team.

Tigrax stalks the arena looking to hunt down his next victim whilst Shadow is able to turn their opponents attacks against them. As well as all the cards and such you obviously get the miniatures for both of them.

I do very much like the idea of a big badass tiger, er, thing, stalking the tabletop. Shadow also looks cool, especially if you're seeking to stick with that hardcore Sci-Fi aesthetic.

Card Pack

If you're looking to get stuck into the game then you can also pick up this Card Deck. This comes with new Coach Abilities And Sponsorship Deals which you can use during your games.

This is pretty good for those who want to start exploring the league side of things within OverDrive. There are rules and such for these within the core rulebook but this acts as a handy reminder when you're getting stuck into gameplay.

Big OverDrive All-In Bundle

As well as all of the separate entries that you see here, you can also snag an All-In Bundle from Mantic which is available during the pre-order period.

This collects together the Core Box, the first Rival Pack, and the Card Deck. You will also get two Launch Exclusive resin counters which you can use in the game to substitute the tokens in the game. So, pretty good if you really want to dive deep into OverDrive.
