WoW Meets Pandemic In World Of Warcraft: Wrath Of The Lich King

There has been a very interesting collaboration between two different franchises, and we are met with a fascinating alliance. Z-Man Games, the beast behind the incredibly popular board game series Pandemic has revealed their recent collaboration with Blizzard Entertainment. Bringing a brand new game using the Pandemic system, set in World of Warcraft. Welcoming, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King.

The trailer was released on the Z-Man Games official channel, claiming the upcoming title will be using the Pandemic system. If you have played Pandemic before, you will know that players are tasked to stop a worldwide outbreak by working together to quarantine and cure any ailments that come by. How this may translate over to World of Warcraft - tickle me intrigued.

Shown in the video is a wide selection of characters including Orcs and Night Elfs and a sneak peek into the board itself and some of the locations on the map focussing solely on the expansion Wrath of the Lich King. May I add... these miniatures look in desperate need to be painted!
If this title proves popular, I certainly wonder what other World of Warcraft expansions can be incorporated into the Pandemic system. As the sweep of the Lich King's blizzard can surely be controlled as well as an outbreak. Is anybody ready to see some Pandaren? I am certainly ready to paint some Pandaren...
Ideas have been toyed with in terms of bringing over World of Warcraft to the tabletop, especially on board game format. I enjoyed Small World of Warcraft very much, so adding the aspect of Warcraft to Pandemic - a game I know extremely well - I would be interested in seeing how the elaborate and continuous world of Azeroth unfolds in the upcoming title.
How do you think World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King might play using the Pandemic system?

I only played pandemic once… but I do like Warcraft III
does look interesting.
From the brief hints of the dice and board in the trailer, I reckon this will lean heavily on the mechanics from Pandemic: Fall of Rome. Rather than disease cubes, you are battling hordes of undead monsters that will lurch across the board until you complete an equivalent of ‘curing’ them. In Fall of Rome, you had to form alliances with the barbarian tribes. Here I reckon it will be completing quests/defeating bosses that match particular dungeons or somesuch from the game.
Fall of Rome had good reviews so this might be worth a look.
