A24 make movies but they also dabble in some quirky stuff on the side too. The Green Knight, a film featuring Dev Patel, Alicia Vikander, and Joel Edgerton is meant to be hitting cinemas this year and it looks AWESOME.

So, cool Arthurian-themed film with an ace look and feel. Why not have a roleplaying game based around it? Well, A24 did just that...

The Green Knight | A Fantasy Roleplaying Game // A24

This roleplaying game is inspired by the upcoming film by David Lowery and has you playing as a band of heroes looking to seek honour in this Arthurian world.

Everything is included in the set for you to begin playing a game. Designed to look like a classic D&D set, the game comes with characters for you to play, a map of the realm, a full guide on how to play and an adventure for your Game Master to thrust in your direction.

As mentioned above, the game is one that focuses on Honour and Dishonour. A quest will be set before you and the choices that you make will ultimately decide the outcome. The game is driven by a D20 mechanic and interestingly doesn't actually use health. Instead, the real shame is Dishonour, tracked by that metre at the top of your character sheet.

This set has been out for a while now but still seems like an apt purchase if you like the look and feel of this world. The game is obviously very self-contained and can be completed in a three or four-hour session but that means you could maybe then hand this over to another group of friends so they can give it a go.

There are some small spoilers for the film included in the game so if you're still waiting for the film's release, maybe pick this up and give it a go after you've watched it. The film should be released in the US this month and then hopefully it's out elsewhere soon too!

I am tempted to snap it up just because of how nice it looks!
