An Exclusive Look At PlastCraft Games’ Malifaux Terrain!
October 22, 2014 by brennon
PlastCraft Games have, as we mentioned in the news yesterday, started work on some amazing terrain dedicated to playing your games of Malifaux. These guys have previously made terrain for Infinity, Carnevale and Kensei and it all looks great. See what you think of these first shots of the terrain!
As you can see it's looking pretty stunning already crossing that border between realism and a sense of warped fantasy in the design of the buildings and other terrain. I'm liking the style that brings in elements of the 'Wild West' that seems to permeate the world of Malifaux alongside Victorian-era Britain architecture.
The set is rather spiffing when you see it all together like this and I reckon many a gaming table are going to be adorned with these pieces. Hopefully we'll be able to get our hands on the terrain in the near future and show you up close and personal what it's all like!
What are your thoughts on this urban setting for Malifaux?

This looks fantastic and I would love to have a few games on this terrain.
D.
Take my money now!!
Loving this !! It’s looking great ! I can’t wait !!
is that set on a wolsung mat?
I imagine it’s set on PlastCraft’s own textured sheets.
I believe everything displayed comes from Plastcraft – even the base tiles are from them and are available on their website.
Damnit this is making me want to play Malifaux again…
Is that a bad thing? Great game, balanced rules and mechanics and so much fun. Where are you based?
Southern Michigan! Only me and one other guy down here that we’ve found so it’s kinda lonely/tight on time to fit wargames into our schedules.
Wow, looks amazing! Not something I sadly have an use for myself, but it is beautiful and incredibly well done! I think I know a few buds would want this stuff too 😀
Looks amazing! Those Malifaux figures I have will now get unboxed and painted. Love the look of the scenery. Not the usual western setting you see for Malifaux terrain.
Granted a lot of scenery manufacturers went down the Western route for their balsa buildings and I have a few myself but I also have a Zen temple board and a couple of graveyard-inspired boards to play on as well as the obligatory Mordheim-esque board.
It looks fantastic. Does PlastCraft stuff come pre-painted?
It seems not which is a huge shame. That was 1 bonus of the Terraclips stuff.
Looks excellent, just need some bayou shacks now
Alas… it’s unpainted……
Wow amazing looking buildings.
Amazing looking terrain and being unpainted, it seems like a good project to go hand in hand with BoW’s airbrush tutorials. 🙂
Agreed. My son has a lot of interest in the airbrush, so I might wind up with a built-in terrain painter 🙂
Wow, that stuff looks great!
gorgeous looking terrain 🙂
Great looking terrain and a lot of uses
Love it going to need more self space and another room to keep all this stuff, oh heck a bigger house.
Wow. Most impressive, but then I’ve always liked Plastcraft’s stuff. 😀
Just tell me how much and when I can order it
