Which faction are you going to be playing as?
I do like the sculpts, but not fond of assembling metal miniatues. Expensive for 14 minis and cardboard terrain, assuming similar price to previous starters.
I agree on the metals front, but I believe, for the quality of the models that the price is OK. High, but OK. I think (as a 40K player) we’re used to thinking that a lot more is needed where for Infinity, it isn’t.
The Ariadna models look great but why do we need so much foot/leg on a thing for the Nomads? Code One is the only way I’d see me going back to Infinity, such a fun system but so rules heavy that it’s just not for me and my rubbish brain
Where is my Damn bear! Also this is the first starter box since Ice storm that dosnt have a different silhouette. In all seriousness if this is anything like the quality of kaldstrom and wildfire it’s going to be great and everything you need to play code one and N4! Free full rulebook pdf’s for code one and N4 and free app to build your forces for both systems add to the value of this. I have very much enjoyed completing my YuJing code one force with a no brainer upgrade paths so I could collect further and paint without… Read more »
Respectfully, metal is a horrific material. Superglue nasty, evil stuff.
I love the models Corvus Belli produce. I couldn’t do justice to them but I’m sorry, while they’re metals I’m out.
I prefer it so much to plastic (especially the plastic corvus belli already use) and resin. Alot of the new models twist together and only require one dot of glue in the middle. I wouldn’t buy infinity models if they were plastic unless new tech came out. It would cause to much compromise in the design and they would become fragile and lack fine detail. Corvus belli need to put more effort into simpler more clever designs for all of them and show people the assembly process to make informed decisions in their marketing. But it is a taste and… Read more »
I fully agree. Plastic might deprive us of Tactical Rock, and that’d ruin the vision of the game for me.
Couldn’t disagree more, metal is a fantastic material for miniatures ?
If a miniture looks good then I dont see why the material should be offputting.
Superglue is annoying stuff when it sticks to you but methyl ethyl ketone (plastic cement) is pretty evil stuff too.
Awesome stuff Wolfgang Amadues Wolff ;).
And now I know why there are Code One/Infinity ads with minis I have never seen since some days on this site
More stunning figures to drool over many company’s would love sculptures that good.
Nomads in Code One! Finally. I’m going to enjoy following the daily reports.
Why the heck are the female miniatures posing like pin-ups? This is completely absurd…
Trolling attempt failed for being completely baseless. Please rework and try again.
Ooh, Operation Red Rock.
It’s…more of the same, despite being two new armies. I hate to be the “new bad old good” person, but the armies really became more and more alike with CB’s switch to CAD designs.
I was very excited at the prospect of sci-fi kosmonauts vs punk spacers, but the whole set left me completely cold :C
Cost: It’s under $10 USD per figure if you don’t count anything else in the big box (terrain, tokens, rules, dice). You can pay FAR more than that per plastic figure from GW. If you buy the whole bundle it drops to under $9 USD per figure. The terrain kits w/ tokens retail separately for $36. Factor that in and you’re down to about $7/figure for the bundle. That’s quite reasonable for metal models. Materials: I’ve built models for Infinity beginning with the first generation 20 years ago to stuff from last year’s Code One releases and the quality of… Read more »
Material: 1st gen infinity was the easiest to construct cause most of the models were 1 or 2 pieces max. I miss one-piece basic LI. That being said, they’re still harder to work with and require more fiddling than plastic. I was fine with detail level of 2006 infinity, so anything over that is wasted effort for me.
