Chip Theory Games Teases New Elder Scrolls Game For 2022
May 28, 2021 by fcostin
A very familiar yet obvious symbol appeared on the Chip Theory Games Twitter page most recently... and it certainly caused a stir and spread like wildfire for all tabletop gamers.
Unknown Elder Scrolls Title // Chip Theory Games
Do you recognise the symbol? You have most probably guessed it, this is the symbol found alongside anything to do with the Elder Scrolls franchise leaving fans asking many a question regarding the licence, with the only statement alongside the publisher, "Coming 2022".
For those who are not aware of Chip Theory Games, they have successfully designed games such as Cloudspire, Too Many Bones and their most recent Kickstarter Hoplomachus: Victorum. All of which are incredibly popular, the most recent Kickstarter being rewarded almost a million dollars, and are very much so an established publisher with fantastic ideas to bring to the industry. To say that I am excited, would be an understatement.
The Elder Scrolls franchise is not new to the tabletop. Miniatures gamers will be aware of the Bethesda collaboration with Modiphius Entertainment with Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms which encapsulates wargaming in the world of Tamriel. Along with The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim The Board Game, taking 1-5 players into a cooperative experience into the fifth game of the franchise.
2022 may be a while off, but that does not mean we cannot speculate in what this new title might hold for Chip Theory Games.
What could this mean? Is there a new board game coming? Maybe an RPG? What do you think this announcement might mean for the future of the Elder Scrolls Franchise on the tabletop?

I never heard anything about Chip Theory Games. And what is this “The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim The Board Game”? The link goes to Call to Arms. For the board game I’m only finding a gamefound campaign preview. So it doesn’t exist yet?
