Their new spotlight on the book takes a look at what you can actually make when it comes to building an army. Here is the breakdown of what's available if you fancy the idea of playing as the Finnish...
- T-26 Armoured Company with T-26 light tanks, T-28 and T-34 medium tanks and KV-1 heavy tanks.
- Sturmi Assault Gun Company with the Finnish modified Sturmi StuG assault gun.
- Infantry Company with hard-fighting veteran infantry. These troops have a good selection of weapons to supplement their firepower including machine guns, mortars, anti-tank guns, and specialist close defence anti-tank infantry.
If you're more of a Hungarian fellow then you'll have access to these options...
- Panther Tank Company with German supplied Panther tanks
- Tiger Tank Company with German supplied Tiger heavy tanks
- Turán Tank Company with the Hungarian Turán medium tank
- Panzer IV Tank Company with German supplied Panzer IV tanks
- Zrinyi Assault Gun Company with the Hungarian built Zrinyi self-propelled 105mm howitzer.
- StuG Assault Gun Company with German supplied StuG assault guns
- Hetzer Assault Gun Company with German supplied Hetzer tank-hunters
- Rifle Company well supported with machine-guns, mortars, anti-tank gun and new anti-tank rockets
Finally, we have the options for those looking to build up a Romanian force on the tabletop.
- R-2 Light Tank Company with R-2 (Panzer 35(t)), T-38 (Panzer 38 (t)), and R-35 Renault light tanks
- T-4 Medium Tank Company with German supplied Panzer IV tanks
- TA Assault Gun Company with German supplied StuG assault guns
- Motorised Rifle Company with options dismounted and mounted armoured infantry in Sd Kfz 251 half-tracks. These troops have plenty of firepower with machine guns, mortars, anti-tank guns and self-propelled tank-hunters.
One of the neat things for these forces is that they are well-supported regardless of not really being the big players in World War II. If you want to play one of these armies, you're not going to be missing out.
Bagration Axis-Allies Miniatures // Flames Of War
This seems like a great set of options for Flames Of War and feels like a good way to round out what Battlefront is doing in terms of Operation Bagration.
Are you tempted to dive in and check out these factions?

Great new force’s to stem the retreat did the Hungarian unit’s get many of the heavy tanks like Panthers an Tigers?
The Germans respected the Hungarians more than their other allies and did equip them relatively well. Also protecting Hungary meant protecting Germany itself.
I have a Hungarian WW2 project in the pipedream stage (28mm) and will add some German-supplied tanks. A Hetzer strikes me as most appropriate but Stugs, Panzers, Panthers, etc. do seem to also be valid.
Hoping to see some great picy’s in the future then? The paint pens John used will be handy if your doing that spoty camo the Germans like for your project.
I’d take the comward’s way out. Plain green for Hungarian-native tanks, plain dunkelgelb for the German loaners
Sounds good.
Nice additions, the Hungarians tend to get overlooked but good to see them here aswell as the Finish.
Those Battlefront promo shots with the minis allways make me very envious.
