Battle It Out Tech-Style in Robot Quest Arena Kickstarter
May 27, 2021 by fcostin
The City of Rivet, home to human and robot-kind alike. Living in peace and harmony, thriving in this small town as they surpass all expectations in upgrading their tech. Where else to test this experience in an arena?
Robot Quest Arena // Wise Wizard Games & Perfect Day Games
Robot Quest Arena by Wise Wizard Games and Perfect Day Games takes 2-4 players in a deck-building adventure. Full of epic robot battles, whilst avoiding the ongoing dangers of the arena. Heal up, upgrade and take on some feisty robots in the new Kickstarter.
Do not worry, no robots were harmed in the making of this game. The robots are not forced into the arena! They are simply excited to engage with other robots in a fight to show off their new upgrades.
During gameplay, players will need to utilise their cards on the board, by using battery cards to allow those lil' robots to navigate around the arena. But, those cards have other purposes too. Players can heal up, upgrade weaponry, and buy better cards to become the ultimate fighting champion - robot style.
Whilst avoiding dangers around the arena, players will need to take out their opponents with brute force resulting in points being tallied up. Meaning the person with the most amount of points by the end of the game is crowned champion. Don't worry if your little robot gets knocked out in a round. Each time a new round begins, your friend will be right back into the action giving everybody a fair chance against all different opponents.

There are four different robot characters for you to choose from, and they come with miniatures too! If you are like me and have not got round to painting board game miniatures, these wacky robots are pre-painted and ready to hit some conflict within the arena. Named Pug, Crate, Petri and Strider, these adorable robots may seem cute on the outside - but they are able to pack quite the punch.
There are quite a few stretch goals available too. Adding upgrades to your robots with new cards only available through Kickstarter. Including cards such as the Missile Barrage and Grappling Hook, these are special weapons that a small robot full of whimsy will not want to contend with.

If you really do like the look of Robot Quest Arena, there is more than just the base game live on Kickstarter. There are three expansions waiting for you to dip into... which means new adorable robots to join the skirmish. Including Jaws, Kettle and Dozer (Kickstarter Exclusive) - these new robots will add new special features along with adding an extra player to the game. Allowing you to create quite the tournament in the new game which reminds me of a whimsical version of Robot Wars.
Robot Quest Arena has 21 days left to go on Kickstarter and has already smashed through its initial goal. I am looking forward to seeing some stretch goals unlocked and more from this exciting bunch of characters.
Do you remember Robot Wars? I feel like nobody remembers Robot Wars...
