Stargrave Prizes To Be Won
Make sure to get involved as you could win one of the three plastic miniature sets; Crew, Mercenaries and Troops + a Stargrave Rulebook!
This gives you a great way to get stuck into the game. Just one of these plastic sets and the book is enough for you and a friend to dive into the game and have lots of fun. They are even better once you start customising them with more of the North Star Military Figures collection too!
Tune in and tell us what you're most excited about as part of Stargrave Week!
Good to see Stargrave getting a look in. I imagine it’s going to be pretty similar to Frostgrave (as it’s core mechanic is opposed D20 rolls). HOWEVER I like the idea that you can’t just wander off with the loot (instead you’ve got to “unlock” it with a dice roll (and troops types like Hacker get a bonus to do this), it now means you’ve got to take and hold ground a little more (rather than troops running around like the end titles of the Benny Hill show). Such a simple change, yet a massive impact on your tactics and… Read more »
I too love the fact you need to roll to open the loot. It very much reminds me of the bunker scene in StarWars RotJ; R2 fails his roll to open the doors, gets shot, Han rolls without a bonus and fails as well!?
My crew’s taking shape (slowly) and I’ve made a start on the minis from the Nickstarter. Yeah I’m a bit up for this.
I own everything Imperial Assault. Also have Kill Team and Necromunda.
Plenty of options for my Stargrave miniatures.
Am I still banned on winning anything by OTT? 😉
I’ll allow you to win as much GW stuff as you want
You cruel person!
We’ll give you the chance to win non GW prizes if you paint your GW boxes 😉
That’s animal cruelty!
So you admit to being an animal then ? 😉
Never said anything else! Animal (from The Muppets) is my spirit animal…
Join the club (never won anything on the BoW Prize centre), perhaps we should lobby for our own subforum called “Unlucky Sods” where we can bemoan our unlucky status (Prize winners can not post, and should be too busy painting up their winnings to post anyway) 😀
Well I can’t join that because… I won the Indomitus 40k box *and* the Warcry Catacombs box…. and now everybody is mad at me. (But seriously, it was strange winning twice within a year)
Looking forward to this, I got the book when it came out but haven’t had a chance to give a go yet
That means dual watching of this and the Greatest movie ever made. i am so happy i may rub my nipples.
Uncle Kevin pointed out that anyone who brought KillTeam Rogue Trader starter set , has a perfect team for this.
Yup… got that… some very cool minis. Some are fragile because of the hard plastic, but the same is true with Blackstone Fortress and pretty much anything by GW with a long thin thing that sticks out… [insert innuendo here]
Book arrived this week and I really like what I’ve read. Looking forward to the week!
Already received my Nickstarter and i’m stocked to see some content! I learn better by watching/playing games than reading anyway 😉
Can’t wait to see the Table Build VLOG too, might give me ideas…
Looking forward to the Let’s Plays 🙂
Excellent, I’m excited for this.
Since the Star Wars Legion rules are a hot mess right now looking forward to Stargrave 🙂
Looking forward to this, building the troopers has been fun as has kitbashing gnolls and cultists
Hopefully lot’s of new figures and scenery to temp people with. an the let’s play video’s should be fun.
I’m interested if this is one with a background or a more indie setting you can tweak as you like to do something like BattleStar Galactica Ground Combat which doesn’t seem very well catered for.
Looking forward to this!
I have my finger posed on the order button but am going to wait for the play through to see if it’s my cuppa tea.
I’ve had a Wild West Exodus ‘The Wayward Eight’ (defo not Firefly) set and a couple of robot dogs knocking around for a while. Now I have the excuse to actually paint them and use them in a game. Super enjoyed Frostgrave and very much looking forward to giving Stargrave a go.
This is going to be epic. Just like the Greatest movie ever made!!!
Really looking forward to this and it should be our first in the flesh, family game since March 2020. Am in the process of building a crew so shall be taking notes throughout the week.
I’m really looking forward to Stargrave week. I’ll probably use star wars legion figures for a crew until I get around to painting up some new figures.
But my local club sounds like they are gonna finally get into Frostgrave when we can finally throw dice together…. I’m probably gonna get an awful lot of rules mixed up, as the rules of both games are similiar, but not entirely the same.
Looking forward to this week
Grabbed a beer and a notepad to settle in watching the first video. I’m a fan of Joe’s work and can’t wait to get my teeth into the rules. Got some ideas for two crews already, will be interesting to see what tickles my pickle after the full week of vids.
Great to see you folks doing a Stargrave week! Already got the book… Started building crews and terrain with leftovers from years of gaming. Seriously love the idea of being able to create my own storyline and strange worlds/backdrop to play in using the game system.
Interesting and I hope they have developed Frostgrave further made this an amazing game
