In this case Hasbro/Takara-Tomy don’t really have a case. Vehicles that turn into robots have been done in a lot of ways by a lot of people. Macross/Robotech had jets that turned into mechs, Gobots (although Hasbro now owns the rights) were around at the same time as the original Transformers toy line, and I seem to recall one or two Gundams that transformed into jets also. It was mainly the artwork I was expressing concerns about – it even seems to mimic the artist who drew Transformers when Marvel produced a comic based upon them back in the 80’s.
I know when I was looking to produce a series of t-shirts some manufacturers I spoke to said how in some countries if a design is changed as little as 1% that meant it wasn’t in breach of copyright.
Great looking trans-mech’s bots can you use toybots to up your force’s fighting?
I mean, you could, but there is an extensive range of cool models from Traders Galaxy which are way better
