Kainan’s Reapers Hunt The Silent People In Warhammer Underworlds
May 17, 2021 by brennon
Games Workshop is also released the next of their Warhammer Underworlds warbands for use in the continuing Direchasm cycle. Kainan's Reapers of the Ossiarch Bonereapers have been sent by Nagash to Ghur in search of the Silent People and more.

I would say this is a pretty darn awesome looking set of miniatures. I have always quite liked the look of the Ossiarch Bonereapers as they always felt like a terrible mockery of the Stormcast Eternals. Whereas the Stormcast Eternals are men and women reforged over and over again, the Bonereapers are made of multiple souls who have been fused together inside eerie armour.
This set gives you a very good force of up-close-and-personal fighters and Kainan, that absolute badass with an axe, to lead the way. As they are seeking bones to pluck from the battlefield for their master, I'm sure they will be very eager to engage others on the tabletop.
New Race - The Silent People?
This does lead me to an interesting point that was raised online recently about The Silent People. This insectoid race has featured in the background of Direchasm for a while now and there are hints to them in artwork and fluff throughout.
Could they be the new foe that the Stormcast Eternals are going to find themselves tackling when the new edition of Warhammer Age Of Sigmar comes out? The lore certainly points to them being pretty integral to Ghur and they do like to hide in the shadows watching people. They are more attached to the mountain rather than the swamps and fens though so I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for the Fimir!
What do you reckon?

Age of Sigmar Necrons? oO
They actually predate the Newcrons, I think… They are a pretty cool looking army if you like skellibobs.
Those are some nice looking miniatures.
I was thinking they would make some really nice scifi alien race. With some weapon swaps to laser guns.
As fantasy, not as interesting without some work.
They would be great for a mummy (Imhotep?) Army.
I have never really like the style of the Ossiarch Bonereapers. Nothing against the models just a personal aspect of not liking chunky skeletons. However I must admit I do like the main model in this set. I think I might pick up this set just to paint them and perhaps my view on them might change.
I always put the chunkiness down to the fact that they are made of bones, but not necessarily human bones. I agree though, they are not quite my cup of tea. The big chap is pretty cool, though.
Got to say hated the style at first but these guys are growing on me
