It is great to hear that Wyrd is providing more crossover miniatures with their games. I tend to know quite a lot of tabletop gamers who seem to be immersed in Malifaux, and even quite a few RPG-ers immersed in their adventures Through the Breach. But rarely do I ever meet somebody who tells me about their adventures in the game that belongs in the same world as Malifaux, and that is The Other Side.

Kirai Ankoku // The Other Side

Wyrd has most recently announced that there will be some crossovers with characters in The Other Side and Malifaux, providing two sets of cards to enable them to be in play for both games.

Last week, Wyrd previewed the newest character from the list to be released in the new Starter Set for The Other Side, who is also playable in Malifaux too.

Kirai is the newest preview to be released for Wyrd and she is making her way to The Other Side, with order and direction over the Court of Two. Meaning she has the authority to control a pretty nasty ghost army whose reckless behaviour has been hiding in the shadows with the perfect opportunity to rise.

As Kirai will have control of these spectral nightmares, there is no reason why she will need to deal with her own savage bidding alone.

Ikiryo // The Other Side

She is joined by Ikiryo, along with the ability to summon ghosts, named Gwisin and Enslaved Spirits at her own demand. These will be included in The Other Side Starter Box.

Kirai Ankoku // The Other Side

If you purchase said Starter Box for The Other Side, you will be thrilled to know that you will be able to get access to her new Malifaux stat card. Ready to control the hoard of spirits on a new playing field.

The Other Side starter set will be released at this year's Gen Con, with not just Kirai's ability to be played in Malifaux, but for all characters to join the fray too.

I am quite excited to see what Wyrd have planned for The Other Side and its integration with Malifaux. With a ridiculous amount of miniatures to paint and for me to get my Malifaux crew together, all this says to me is that I am going to be slightly fixated with The Other Side and the world to which these games belong.

Have you played The Other Side from Wyrd Games?
