Deep-Cut Studio has a new mat that might suit those who like the idea of battling their way across a craggy mountain top. Their Mountains mat offers up a rocky landscape that has been given a generous covering of snow.

As with the other mats in their collection, this new Mountains design is available in a range of sizes as well as materials. You can go with a small skirmish space or something much larger for your grand mass battle engagements.

This mat is fairly "blank" in that it's essentially just a lot of rock and snow. With a gaming mat that has been designed to work across multiple genres and games, I don't know what I was expecting. It is an easy fix as you can use your imagination and some carefully placed terrain to help bring this space to life.

Personally, I think that this mat would be very useful when setting up a clash between barbarian tribes in the frosty north. It might also make a good skirmish tabletop for those heading up into the mountains of America when fighting out the French And Indian War.
