New Extra Large Ships Available to Pre-Order for Armada This May
April 21, 2021 by fcostin
The naval wargame, Armada which takes place amongst the rough seas of Pannithor has been a success, especially since the game system's release in November 2020. Ben took a good look at these ships in more detail a few weeks back here. But with Mantic Games having a consistent release schedule and communities asking for "more ships!" and "more fleets!". The releases continue to surprise us, as these miniatures not only keep getting more and more epic, but they are bigger too!
During Mantic-Fest, the designer of Armada, Matt Gilbert spoke out about the upcoming ships for the rest of the year, including extra-large ships coming this May, which are now available to pre-order.
Armada // Mantic Games
Chaotic power has approached the sea, with titanious ships to cut through your enemy's fleet. And you can see from the size difference in the above image just how extra-large these models are.
What's better is that Mantic are releasing an extra-large ship from each of the launch factions, so you don't have to worry about envying somebody else's faction for their sea-ridden, destructive goodness. Including the Basilean Dictator, Orc Ripper Hulk, Dwarf Dreadnought and Empire of Dust Monolith
Armada // Mantic Games
Mantic have now announced that whenever they look to announce a new fleet, the extra-large ship will be releasing alongside the Starter Set and Booster box, so there will be even more temptation to get stuck in.

Don't forget to get your pre-orders in for these epic resin ships, as Mantic are going to begin shipping (no pun intended) as early as May 10th.
Boats, boats, boats.

“I like boats!” – JayzTwoCents
Let’s sea where this goes…
I’ve got a jar of dirt!
“I like big boats and I cannot lie”
If that certainly floats your boat…
ha ha, I also had a jaws quote I was going to drop, but I think I will just sail away from this now!
The basilean ship’s look good and normal enough to be used in other naval games.
