About the Project
Now that I have nearly finished my first band of adventurers they now need somewhere to adventure in. I've dug out a load of old terrain I had accumulated and now need to turn it into the Frozen City.

Finished it
I’m not going to win any prizes for finesse but I like it and it works well with my other pieces
I bought this
Another buy from Amera Plastic Mouldings
Baby it's cold outside!
I’m really pleased with this. The weight of the exterior filler around the outside really keeps it solid. I’ve just ordered something else from Amera so that should be next up.
Last Christmas
I finally got round to sticking some paint on this I did the brickwork as I did before in this project. I then used a white spray on the rest. It is a little shiny so mixed a bit of grey with some medium to dull it a bit and will then give it a final white drybrush before varnishing.
Ready for painting
With the edges rounded off with the filler and a coat of grey primer it’s ready for painting. Still pondering over how to snow it up.
Ruined my day
I bought this from Amera Plastic mouldings. It is vac-formed. I’m going to fill the edges a little with filler to round them off.
You have nice manners for a thief,
I think that’s enough. Now for snow.
There's nothing magical about it
Contrast applied. I could leave it at that but want to add a little more detail on the teeth and horns.
Here be dragons!
This is an eBay purchase. It’s quite a rough print but I liked it. Going to throw a bit of contrast at it and see what happens.
Grow, grow, the lightning tree
I painted the bases white, added a little exterior filler to break up the flatness and then finished off with Valhallan blizzard.
How lovely are thy branches
I drybrushed a mix a Vallejo Green Brown with Brainmatter Beige all over then used AP black speed paint. It’s a bit of an experiment but looks fine.
Treeeeeeeeessss
I bought these along time ago so have no idea where they came from. They are 3d printed. The printing lines give them some texture. I glued them onto some old MDF bases I had laying around. I then gave them a base spray of GW Grey Seer then a fine spray of AP Leather Brown. The aim was to let some of grey show under the brown.
A Bridge not too far
I think that’s about finished. I wanted to add some interest to the arches so glued some toothpicks to them to make a grill. I painted them black and then AP rust paint. Finally I used GSW liquid frost on them. I’m still not sure about liquid frost but it is open so I used it.
Snow is falling all around us
Threw a whole load of Valhallan Blizzard at it.
Let it snow
Using my trusty Wilkos Exterior filler I’ve built up where the snow will go.
Icing on the cake
The chocolate cake of a bridge now looks a little more wintery. Alot of drybrushing of AP Spaceship Exterior and Instar Arctic white using cheap make-up brushes. I need to add some snow now.
Reverse
To match the bridge in with my other terrain the sides of it will be sprayed brown (Leather Brown) and the span light grey (Grey Seer).
