Be’lakor Swoops Into Warhammer Age Of Sigmar This Weekend

Games Workshop is firing up pre-orders for the next stage of the Broken Realms storyline this weekend. Broken Realms: Be'lakor is coming to Warhammer Age Of Sigmar bringing with it the impressive new miniature for The Dark Master.

The new miniature is pretty darn impressive and stands head and shoulders over the previous version. The pose is similar to the original but the big changes come in the form of those massive outstretched wings, the flickering sword and that scenic base.
Be'lakor is shown as a dominating and powerful individual and I would say that there are a lot of folks who are considering a Chaos army after seeing him! I love that he has disdain for all who stand in his way too, slaughtering Chaos Warriors and servants of Order alike in his quest to take over The Mortal Realms.
There is an option to swap out the Chaos Warrior for a Space Marine on the base if you're looking to drop Be'lakor into Warhammer 40,000 instead. That's cool and all but I am fully on board with the Fantasy version!
New Broken Realms Book
The story of Be'lakor's rampage is included as part of the next Broken Realms book. Due to the scheming of Nagash, many things have been set in motion and now The Dark Prince is ready to put his own plans into action.
Broken Realms Be'lakor // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
The book will be available in both standard and limited edition format. I do like the close up of Be'lakor's face on the art but the standard edition is also very impressive. As well as dealing with the forces of Chaos, the book will also look at how the Seraphon, Stormcast Eternals and Nighthaunt plan to battle him.
New Leaders For Death & Order
We do also have two new miniatures which will be plotting to take down Be'lakor.
Krulghast Cruciator & Gardus Steel Soul // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
On the left, we have the Krulghast Cruciator who seeks to torture and maim the enemies of Nagash. Adorned with all manner of cruel implements, the Cruciator is a harrowing individual who looks suitably perfect for the forces of the Nighthaunt.
We also have Gardus Steel Soul in his "superhero landing" pose for the forces of Order. As one of the mighty leaders of the Hallowed Knights, Gardus looks ready for a showdown with The Dark Prince on the battlefield, sword and hammer in hand.
There is most certainly an epic feel to this latest addition to the Broken Realms storyline. I am eager to see someone have a go at a clash between Gardus and Be'lakor and maybe a diorama or two!
Are you happy with the way they have been moving the storyline on in Warhammer Age Of Sigmar?

The Stormcast is terrible – hammers floating in exactly the way that hammers don’t. The ghoostie thing is almost as bad. Be’lakor though – hoooo boy he’s a beast. I love that model so much! \m/
He just iron-man’d into the ground, they’re still up due to Comic Book Momentum.
He’s ok, the gheist is fine, Belakor is another oversized piece of too much of everything GW loves. Expensive, too large, too gaudy, so fanboys will eat it up.
Now thats a heavy fan for you.
New Be’lakor looks otherwise really good but I am not really sure what to think about those chains that he has on his wings as those seem too much detail.
I think there might be a story there. If you notice, he also appears to have chains running from his ankles/legs to the stalagmites on his base. The chains may be about him be bound/grounded by the chaos Gods, prevented from flying.
I like the Be’lakor model apart from the face.
As for the Stormcast, I would just snip the hammers off.
