Knight Hospitalers and Uma Sorrensen
And, as hinted before, the rest of the Hospitalers. Somewhat accidentally I also painted Uma Sorensen (alternative pose) from Defiance set. She was prepped and the colours matched, at the beginning. She was actually source of frustration as she is to small for me, I just can’t see which detail is what, where It begins or ends… anyway, I probably painted her three times and in the end used completely different paints and techniques to the rest of the PanO troops bellow.
Oh, and to avoid upsetting the project system with too many pictures I compiled them into 4+1 (BTW I somehow managed to skip one pose on the HMG guy).
I may have enjoyed looking at these more if I had not been staring at one for the past 6 hours (will come back later for a further look). I love to more saturated colours of Uma. I use magnifying glass while painting and with Uma, each time I started highlighting, the shape I was painting turned out to be different from what I assumed. Anyway switched to my older PanO scheme, and did only one highlight and one shadow for a fast job.
The full recepie in Vallejo is: French or Imperial Blue, Light Sea Blue, Sky Blue. If you add deep shadows (Prussian blue and Violet ink) and add some white to the highest highlights (which I obviously didn’t) you’ll get yourself extremely reflective blue – glasslike effect. Brilliant work! Congrats – worthy off of a Golden Button on each mini.
Thanks!
