Reaver Skin

This was tough. I needed to find three skin tones that I was happy with, somewhat reflected the art work, and looks realistic.  I settled on three skin tones that I could also use on the rest of the Khorne Bloodbound Reavers.

Medium Skintone (Caucasian)

  • Use Citadel Bugman’s Glow as the base. Two or three light coats will cover the model effectively.
  • Wash the skin with Citadel Reikland Fleshshade
  • Leaving the darker color in the recesses layer the skin with Citadel Cadian Fleshtone
  • Highlight the skin’s muscle with Citadel Kislev Flesh

Dark Skintone (Sub-Saharan African)

  • Use Citadel Catachan Flesh as the base. Two or three light coats will cover the model effectively.
  • Wash the skin with Citadel Agrax Earthshade
  • Leaving the darker color in the recesses layer the skin with Citadel Bloodreaver Flesh
  • Highlight the skin’s muscle with Citadel Knight-Questor Flesh

Tanned Skintone (Mediterranean/Middle Eastern)

  • Use Citadel Ratskin Flesh as the base. Two or three light coats will cover the model effectively.
  • Wash the skin with 1 part Citadel Contrast Fyreslayer Flesh and 1 part Contrast Medium
  • Leaving the darker color in the recesses layer the skin with Citadel Ratskin Flesh
  • Highlight the skin’s muscle with Citadel Bestigor Flesh

Scars

  • Thin Citadel Screamer Pink to a little thicker than a wash consistency. Paint this over the scar allowing it to settle around the scar but not so much that it runs.
  • Highlight the with the lightest color (aka the final skin highlight) on the raised part of the scar
