Construct The Perfect Garden For The Gods In Four Gardens
April 12, 2021 by fcostin
Head to the beautiful Eastern kingdom, to create a garden stunning enough to get the Gods' attention! In Four Gardens, by Korea Board Games Co. you are aiming to build amazing landscapes to honour the gods above.

With help from a buildable 3D pagoda to stand tall in the middle of your tabletop, you will need to compete with your opponents to impress the Gods by building the most zen and perfect garden.
The goal of the game is quite simple, and it certainly is not complex to pick up! The landscape cards will be shuffled up, and distributed to each individual player. Players must go through a series of laying cards, collecting resources and completing objectives to keep the Gods happy. In return for your hard work and diligence in your garden, you will hope to receive a full set of 'panorama' cards to complete your garden.

The winner is the person who has the most points on their scoreboard, which has is earned from putting in the groundwork and requiring resources and completing a full collection of garden landscape cards to create one whole idyllic image of a beautiful garden.
Sadly, the game is made to be played competitively and is designed for 2-4 players. So if you are looking for a choice to play this game in solo and competitive mode, you may want to make sure you have people to battle it out with first! Fortunately enough, the game doesn't take too long to play, with an average time of lasting roughly 45 minutes with all four players. So it is not going to take too much time out of your day.
I would love to see this game expand to give solo board gamers a chance to try this on their own! It would turn into a really calm game learning how to build your own garden, maybe a time limit could be added in?
Four Gardens has been released previously first in Korean, French and German and will be getting an English version coming later this year.
What board game are you looking forward to this year?
