Do you not think 2021 is the year of dinosaurs? It seems like each year, we get a new theme in board games. Some years, we have lots of board games that feature werewolves, then vampires. But this year, it seems like dinos have been resurrected and I am all for it!

I love building my own theme parks. Ever since Theme Park World on Ps1, along with recently enjoying board games like Meeple Land and Imagineers. The whole construction of a park and management process is something that seems pretty cool in my eyes, and now we can do just that in Dinosaur Island: Rawr 'n Write. To create the best dinosaur theme park to ever exist.

The goal of the game is simple - create the best dinosaur theme park that there has ever been - and will ever be! Sadly, you will not be using your tree-sap mosquito-dinosaur DNA to do so. But you will be collecting DNA to make your own dinosaurs, build lots of attractions and ensure your customers are having a great time.

You do not need to be an experienced roll-and-write fan to be able to access the game. This may have been an increasingly popular way of playing games in the 90s, but boy, am I happy to see this once again and see how such an iconic playstyle can be implemented in 2021. If you are unsure of what a roll and write game is, these games are exactly what you think they might be. You roll your dice - and you write your results on some provided paper.

This quirky and meaty game can be played solo, so you can quaintly build your own less-terrorizing Jurassic Park - if you like! But you can also play it competitively too, with up to four other players. As you fight to receive the most points for your most exciting park, by hiring dinosaur specialists, adding popular attractions and keeping your attendees happy.

This game was featured as part of the Dinosaur World Kickstarter and will be hitting shelves this Summer.

It can't be that difficult to create the best Dinosaur theme park to ever exist, as I heard their main competitor on Isla Nublar isn't doing so well.
