Have you ever wanted to own a small brewery in a fantasy universe? It all seems straightforward and whimsical until you consider the problems that could occur on a day-to-day basis. Pesky gnomes being one of them. And of course, what would a fantasy universe be without the wrath of a dragon!?

Rise of the Gnomes // August Games

Rise of the Gnomes allows you to do just that! You will enter a world named 'Brumancia', with the goals of kickstarting your brewery empire, alongside all of your favourite fantasy races - elves, dwarves, sasquatches, you name it!

As this is an area control game, you will need to assign workers to expand your empire of pubs. To ultimately become a hero to all fantasy folk - as you provide the beer at the end of a rough day in the woodland.

But wait, where do the gnomes come in?

The gnomes have formed a bit of a faction on their own. Annoyed with the working conditions and hard labour (probably because of their teeny tiny fingers), they have rebelled and want to cause nothing short of chaos for you and your chain of successful breweries. They are too a race keen entrepreneurs, seeking to start their own brewery empire, as the impending threat of an incoming dragon looms! They refuse to see the kingdom's leading beer masters in the hands of anything but a gnome! There is no battling in this game, you are simply trying to out-sell the gnomes of their mischief.

The Kickstarter has only just begun and has already done so well smashing through its initial target. There are also lots of stretch goals available too, so don't forget to check them out.

Maybe dragons are so grumpy because their beer must be so expensive to buy by the whole barrel! They might just be misunderstood.
